Democrats “New Deal”….Raise Taxes, Gain More Power, & Deify Obama

Here we go again, Obama Rapture Redux:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tyWIcmBYUBc

Amazing.

Meanwhile Obama and company are all over the airwaves calling for tax hikes on the rich because a few billion will fix everything, which is complete baloney:

I’m simply staggered at the number of things that raising taxes on the rich is now supposed to fix. A partial list: Our crumbling roads, our cracked bridges, our decaying electrical grid, our failing schools, our bankrupt entitlements, our reliance on fossil fuels, and our over-extended public pensions.

But why will billions more dollars succeed when trillions of dollars have failed? We pour more money into schools, yet educational outcomes don’t improve. We wage a “war on poverty” more expensive than any actual war and yet poverty not only persists but remains stubbornly high. We pump almost a trillion dollars into allegedly shovel-ready “stimulus” only to realize that “shovel-ready” apparently doesn’t mean what we think it means, and even the most modest interstate expansions take longer to complete than, say, the Golden Gate Bridge or the Hoover Dam — and cost almost as much

I read the likes of Kristof, and I want to shout to the heavens: “We can give you everything you ask, and it won’t work!” The Left misunderstands conservatives when it believes the argument over tax rates is an argument about greed — that wealthier Americans simply want to grab all the money we can. In fact, many of the top 5 percent are among the most generous people in the world; they just tend to give their money to charities that actually produce results.

Leaving aside — for the moment — the increasingly inverse correlation between taxation and individual liberty (a crucial consideration all its own), we conservatives look at the vast bureaucratic beast with a sense of utter futility. We opt out of government projects and seek personal independence in part because we see government fail time and again — and not for lack of resources.

So what should we do? Should we just give in? Many on the right are throwing in the towel and saying we just should let them raise taxes. But when will it stop?

It won't because the Democrats will continue to spend, so they then can continue to give more free stuff, and get the votes from those raised on the public teat. And then where will find ourselves? Take a look at Greece to see the answer.

Can we hold them off in the long run? Who knows. But it's the principal of the thing. They won't stop at just the rich....they won't stop until we are taxed into oblivion because they believe more free stuff equals more votes, which means they stay in power.

That isn’t a new deal. That is the deal they’ve been on for sixty, seventy years...the “Deify Obama” crap has been around for 5 or 6 years.

Obama is not about solving actual problems. Obama is all about class & ethnic warfare--all about tearing down the American mainstream in an ideological attack on reality--in a frenetic pursuit of an egalitarian/collectivist world.

We have lost all sense of whom we are; how we got to where we are; where we should want our posterity to be tomorrow. Obama is getting away with the most outrageous innovations, because too many among us have utterly lost a reasoned basis to resist. (See Losing America's Multi-Generational Purpose.)

Without a major reawakening, there is little hope.

Actually what is going on is not a great deal different that what FDR was doing in 1936 and early 1937, with one significant difference - the Democrats had retained both Houses of Congress in 1934 and 1936, while in 2010 and 2012, Republicans managed to gain control and hold the House of Representatives.

There was no significant legislative gridlock during the New Deal, the only check that was effectively in place was the Supreme Court, which ruled much of the original New Deal as unconstitutional.

This time, the Supreme Court came down on the side of the regime in the White Hut, for what I believe to be wrong reasoning, but still not giving the “Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act” a full and clear mandate, as it ended up being ruled a taxation system, and did not define a clear right to health care financing.

And yes, FDR WAS deified during his reign, much as royalty was elsewhere in the world.

And how did FDR finally leave office? Oh, yeah, he got us into a war, then he died before it was over. This is at least partly within my living memory.

When Pravda criticizes owebama for adopting the “failed Soviet model” you know we are in trouble.

I think that until enough businesses fold, enough millionaires go broke, the middle class gets hit with enough new taxes and new legislation, the country goes completely bankrupt and Obama moves back to Kenya, nothing will change. Until that point, he’ll just keep laying blame and pushing his wealth redistribution agenda.

Perhaps some of these company owners should sell their companies to their employees, tell them they now own it and are in charge and leave... Any bets on how long until the companies go bankrupt and can pick the companies back up for pennies on the dollar?

Then there is the dynamic problem of raising taxes, which reduces the income to the federal government.

So raising taxes, will further decrease government income, in the end game, and reduce economic activity, investment, and cause capital flight, or capital withdrawal from the markets.

The end game democrat strategy is going to produce further economic disaster.

Wiemar Republic here we come.

The current dimrats ruling the country are like junkies.
There are only two outcomes.
One, the junkie hits bottom and starts the long climb up.
Two, the junkie never gets his mind right and dies from an overdose.

Right now I would say it’s a 50/50 prospect.

Oh and by the way the best thing the Congressional Republicans can do is just say to Obama, "you were elected Mr. President, lets see your plan first"

Don't negotiate with the President unless he comes up with his plan in writing, including his cuts.
