The numbers don’t lie. Staten Island is mostly Rat. They can sit there.
“The numbers don’t lie. Staten Island is mostly Rat. They can sit there.” Here are the numbers: this area of Staten Island always elects 2 of only 49 Republicans in the New York State Assembly. Staten Island sends one of only 31 Republican State Senators to Albany. There are 4 GOP City Council members and the devastated side of Staten Island is represented by one of them. There is only one Republican NYC Congressman and he represents Staten Island.
The numbers for this election are still not settled. Obama won election night, but 14% of the Republicans from the hardest hit area were too busy trying to sta alive to vote. There are about 18,000 paper ballots to be counted and the hard hit area where Republicans live anounts for about 60% of them.
When Obama came to Staten Island a man from the hardest hit area, during a taped interview said to Obama, “I’m a Democrat and a union shop steward. I did not vote for you, but thanks for coming.”
