Yowzers, it's been a good year for music. Music so good it made us want to lick the packaging it came in. Music so bad we had a bonfire piled high with it. Music so weird it made us question whether it was even music. After countless hours of in-office arguing, we've boiled the lot of it down to the 50 choicest cuts of 2012

I’ve only heard of 2 of the artists, and none of the music

I recognize the name Jack White but have never heard anything by him (or the White Stripes"). I have heard some stuff by Bobby Womack and David Byrne but nothing in this century (or even 15 years before that).

Don't you just love when people take the time to click on an article they "don't care about", read it, and then take the time to write "who cares".

Unreal.

Was Adele’s 21 released this year? Good album.

I’m surprised they could list 50. I haven’t bought a CD or “album” in years. Most all is crap.

Thanks.

I have enjoyed listening to Bob Dylan’s “Tempest”...that was released a month or two ago, IIRC.

One of the most disappointing and dumb posts I’ve seen on FR.

I have my Sirius/XM preset to 50's, 60's, 70's...

I have mine preset on "fifties on five," but it seems as though more than half of what they play is from the sixties.

nevermind 50, don’t have time to look through all I would have bought could I have afforded it, but I can say recent purchases -
RUSH
FLAMING ROW
BLACK COUNTRY COMMUNION
TARJA TURUNEN (Live DVD)
BLIND GUARDIAN
NIGHTWISH
WITHIN TEMPTATION
Anathema (select songs)
Poets of the Fall (select songs)

There’s a lot of great music out there
I recommend aiiradio.net to listen to independent bands and musicians

Yeah, I recognized David Byrne (but not the woman with him) and Paul Weller (The Jam). That was it.

The 60's station seems to play a lot of 50's & 70's stuff too, especially when "Cousin Brucie" is on. Plus he has lousy jokes and plays some pretty bad songs.

yeah, I have no idea who she is either. I used to like a lot of the old Talking Head stuff, but don't know anything from Byrne's solo work.
