Harvey Mansfield isn't perfect. But he's one of the few conservatives who decided to enter academia and fight it from within. We need more like him or we will lose the battle.

The Democrats are the party of free condoms.

And free colons.

Free condoms. And if the condoms don’t work, free diapers.

I honestly don’t see how we can win against “Free Condoms...” !?

(The price of buying a vote has sure gone down since the Central Pacific Railroad set up a table in front of the ballot box to pass out gold/silver coins to purchase votes for the “San Francisco-to-subsidize-the-railroad-$$” ballot measure it promoted in the 1860’s. The RR ran out of coins and the hordes rioted demanding more. The RR people barely made it back to the vault fast enough to get the coins required to satiate the good voters of San Francisco (Nancy Pelosi’s district, I believe).

Nowadays, all it takes is free condoms (or foodstamps or just an Obamaphone). Much cheaper. See how lucky we are to live in a time and place where things are so inexpensive? Isn’t this the dream of economics, to create societies where anybody can acquire anything they want or need for so very little cost?

At one level Mr. Obama’s silence reveals the exhaustion of the progressive agenda, of which his presidency is the spiritual culmination, Mr. Mansfield says. That movement “depends on the idea that things will get better and better and progress will be made in the actualization of equality.”

Said another way - Obama and his cohorts are trying to do what no other socialist outfit has been able to do, and that is to bring to fruition - The Worker's Paradise on Earth. Something they will not be able to sustain even if they do make it a reality.

Obama is their god, fashioned like a Golden Calf, destined to last only a short time.

This is their last stab and they know it.

Now if only all those Democrats that father children and walk away were able to use those free condoms, perhaps the free-bees would accomplish something.

to be more accurate,

Democrats are the party of free stuff to their friends and groups they want to control, by legally robbing the people they hate and/or have been unableto co trol.
