Choose Life is so innocent...it truly is evidence of the decline and fall of our civilization that a judge would rule that a violation of rights. Indeed, it is exactly in line with our constitution. This is not our nation folks, America died. We have the choice to live out our lives as comfortably as we can or to try to resurrect freedom and morality. But, nothing is going to change other than the continuing decline if we do nothing.
But if a license plate says "Choose Life", then the people who don't like it must certainly be seeking the right to have license plates which say "Choose Death" -- right? I wouldn't stand in their way, and they shouldn't stand in mine.
Plate rims can be customized and purchased. Folks could get customized rims, as long as they didn’t obstruct the plate number, county, expiration tag, etc. Let the judge try to take that away.
How about [here in CA] the “Save the Whales” license plates. Do we now need “Kill the Whales” license plates?
The judge would rather people chose death.
The first thing NC should do is start issuing “Choose Death” license plates with a Picture and Name of this lunatic Judge on it. Make him the Poster Boy for the Eugenics crowd.
Ya gotta love the “liberal” left. They provide us with never ending examples of their hypocrisy and fascist controlling behaviors. They demand we respect their opinions on abortion and that we not impose our morals and morality on them. But the moment someone express an idea, ideal, or opinion at odds with theirs... They will attack them personally, professionally, publicly, sue them, coerce legislators into ill considered laws... So much for tolerance and celebrating diversity...
"sounds good to me"
In using the phrase “choose life” this license plate first acknowledges that there is a choice to be made, so it basically gives in to the pro-abort side of that argument. However, it then says “if you’re going to make a choice, choose life.” That is NOT an anti-choice message - it is, in fact, a very pro-choice message. If it said “It’s a baby, not a choice,” then that would be anti-choice. This license plate is neutral, at worst.
Here’s the thing. Is anyone standing up and saying anything about it? Are there going to be protests in NC by 100,000 pro-life people? Are we going to hold up signs of murdered babies and call the left baby killers? Are we going to hold up pictures of Obama with the words, “Supports killing babies”? Are we going to bombard every radio/tv station and write thousands of letters to the editor?
This will only go away when we choose to do these things.
“Choose death” or “choose infanticide” might work. Or maybe something like “It’s like a wart”. “Leave my body alone”.
Maybe, “Sandra Fluke wouldn’t have gotten preggers it you’d bought her a condom”. I mean if “Choose Life” can PO these people that much that it incites them to violence....... Why not plates that declare “I Choose .40 S&W”?
Share the lead.
So start making “Choose Life” license plate FRAMES. The message will be just as clear and there’s no state involvement so no opening for the baby-killers to censor it.
Plus you could probably make a lot of money, a portion of which you could then donate toward eradicating the ACLU.
Except that plate frames are illegal in North Carolina.
“Do we now need Kill the Whales license plates?”
In the late ‘70s there was a “Nuke the Whales” sticker, which became “Nuke the Gay Whales” and in 1979, “Nuke the Gay Iranian Whales”.
I favor “Nuke Makkah Now” for a plate rim.
They will prolly be coming after us in Georgia soon as we just introduced the option of “In God we trust” on our license plates.
This is a State issue, not a Federal one, so the Federal judge has no jurisdiction.
Congress did not make the message on the license plate legal, the North Carolina legislature did.
Unless this plate conflicts with the NC Constitution, the Governor of NC should tell the judge to get lost.
“Viewpoint discrimination”. That has to be one of the most stupid things I have ever heard. These judges are idiots.
Other states have these plates.
Why not go for “Choose Adoption” plate?
The judge is wrong on this. ANYONE can petition their representative for a custom plate.
