How the gay movement lobbies your state legislators

Across the country the homosexual lobby has had enormous success pushing their agenda through state legislatures. In recent years, several state legislatures have passed "gay marriage" where it was believed that it would never win a popular vote.

But it all started in Massachusetts, where homosexual lobbyists pioneered the early "gay rights" legislation in the late 1980s. And they won the first "gay marriage" fight here in 2007, when they finally stopped the marriage amendment in the legislature after a huge battle.

From the original "gay non-discrimination" legislation and state funding of homosexual programs in schools, to "gay marriage" and now "transgender rights" legislation, they have honed their approach expertly.

In 1995, homosexual activist Kevin Jennings, head of GLSEN, gave a landmark speech describing how they were finally able to force the Massachusetts Legislature to let them put homosexual programs in the public schools: Portray themselves as victims, and their programs as saving kids from suicide and violence -- and portray those with pro-family values as oppressors who would do harm to children.

After Jennings' "victory," state groups across the country have looked to the Massachusetts homosexual lobby for guidance and strategies.

The same strategies are now being used for radical transgender demands.

We saw this in action here on January 21, 2010, when the major homosexual and transgender groups held a "transgender lobby day" in the Massachusetts Legislature for the Transgender Rights and Hate Crimes Bill (which was ultimately passed the following year). The key is to use emotion, distortions, and disinformation.

Since the November election, the homosexual movement has announced that they will be pushing for "gay marriage" laws in several more state legislatures in 2013, starting with Rhode Island. The lobbying strategy used here will be one of their biggest tools, as it has been all along.

I hate to say it but conservatives could learn a few things from queers — and I do not mean fashion.

A generation ago homosexuals were “in the closet.” Being called a “homo” or “fag” was every schoolboy’s go-to words of mockery and disdain. Them was fightin’ words!

Then the homos and fags organized and began an effort to mainstream themselves. They were no longer fags. They were gay! They took a perfectly acceptable word with a known meaning and adopted it as their own, changing its meaning. They held parades, they took over Hollywood, they mainstreamed themselves in American society. Now courts, politicians and voters are deciding it is a “right” for a man to marry another man (the vomit is rising in the back of my throat as I type)!

Now, of course, the media, Hollywood, polticians and even corporate America protect and sanctify “gay” as an exceptable alternate lifestyle that only the most unenlightened in society cannot fully embrace. The unenlightened, of course, are conservatives.

Conservatives need to find a way to mainstream themselves into society. Maybe take a lesson from the queers. Unfortunately, I do not know exactly what those lessons are but conservatism is no longer mainstream, especially in popular culture.

In a few more years, at the current pace things are moving, schoolboy fightin’ words will not be “homo” or “fag” but “conservative” or “Christian.”

If the homos are lobbying legislators, that’s remediable. Legislators are elected and those who violate the will of the people can be dis-elected.

It’s when the homos go after the unelected bureaucrats and hidden minions that the difficulty arises. Those parasites aren’t accountable to anyone and since many of them are union-protected, they can impose their values at will and nothing short of a public lynching will stop them.

I don’t think we really want to know what’s going on behind closed doors. Not a pretty picture.
