Society has changed. Today it’s “all about me” and if I have a problem it’s someone else’s fault. I deserve other people’s money and it’s not fair they have more than I do. I have a device that’s capable of killing but if I use it then it’s the device’s fault. I can’t say God in public or in school for fear of reprisal. I have to accept things I don’t agree with. I am shunned when I don’t agree. I am led to believe only government can take care of me, and I deserve to be taken care of. I can make a song that talks of cop-killing, mayhem and murder and then believe I don’t impact others. God help us.

First I must add that I remember when guns even surplus WWII weapons were sold in magazine ads and IIRC comic book ads. I remember when DoD virtually gave away surplus ammo -- there's something else going on today.

Our culture is rotting from the inside out. In the 1950’s people drove to school and left their rifles in the back of their pickup trucks and nobody did this sort of thing. In the 1800’s, there were not even background checks and this sort of thing never happened. Something is different NOW and it is NOT the guns.
Hollywood movies, computer games, and rap music which glorify violence, are all bigger contributors to this sort of thing than any gun. Guns have always been there.....in fact, they were far more accessible prior to GCA68.
