In light of a tragedy like the shooting at Newton yesterday, the immediate reaction of conservatives is to mourn and offer our sympathies and prayers for the victims. The immediate reaction of liberals is to politicize the issue.

When we are engaged in a war for our freedom, we cannot allow the left simply dominate the narrative while we act as decent human beings.

There is one simple truth here. Guns were not responsible for what happened yesterday. Liberals were.

How?

The school at Newton like schools everywhere was declared “gun free” zones.

Why don’t we just put up a big sign here that says, “DEFENESLESS TARGETS IN THIS BUILDING!”

The left has succeeded in pushing gun control and the end result has been perfectly predictable. Everywhere gun control is imposed, violent crime rises. Washington DC has some of the most draconian gun control laws around. It is also racked with violent crime. Ditto Nanny State Queen Michael Bloomberg’s hellhole called New York City. Citizens are defenseless but criminals didn’t get the memo. They sill have guns.

Society has changed. Today it’s “all about me” and if I have a problem it’s someone else’s fault. I deserve other people’s money and it’s not fair they have more than I do. I have a device that’s capable of killing but if I use it then it’s the device’s fault. I can’t say God in public or in school for fear of reprisal. I have to accept things I don’t agree with. There was a time when mental cases like this were committed to asylums after being judged dangerous to themselves or others.
The asylums were largely closed by the early 60s.

....what this gunman's mental health was is all speculation at this point. If very serious danger to society, and he was let loose then the doctor’s who auth’d same should be sued civilly and brought up on criminal charges....That being said, if he was of only mild impairment, with no evidence of any danger to others...how in the world do you see this coming, or have him committed. We just do not know....One thing that does seem clear is that some how his family did have guns and they were available to him, and it would appear not locked safely away. That concerns me. If you want to own a gun you better take responsibility for that gun...Again, maybe he broke the locks to get to them....everything at this point is speculation...and my point is that a statement liberals are responsible or complicit in any manner for what happened is not accurate at all without any evidence to support same. The gunman on the other hand pulled the trigger...He cannot escape responsibility.

Every time there is one of these shootings, it has one common factor. It happens in a gun free zone.

First I must add that I remember when guns even surplus WWII weapons were sold in magazine ads and IIRC comic book ads. I remember when DoD virtually gave away surplus ammo -- there's something else going on today.

I agree with the writer.. but I must add that there is at least one other factor today that just was not there back then.. widespread use of mind-altering pharmaceuticals

Was this and other massacres "arranged" in order to advance an agenda.

Maybe yes in the context that certain pharmaceuticals have effects on the mind that, there is strong evidence, cause these horrors.

Yet, and here's the "arranged" aspect, there appears to be a disregard and even a coverup of the connection -- it could be argued that some in the ruling class New Normal want the shootings to happen

and among them there was talk that it may be necessary to kill as many as 60 million Americans to get their desired transformation of America. They need to disarm those 60 million Americans.

(There's one more thing that we have today that we did not have back then when these aged Marxist-Alinsky campus radical, spoiled brats were children -- a couple of whom produced Barack Obama. That other thing is these pukes are now in the ruling class.)

The typical liberal response came from Juan Williams yesterday on Hannity's radio program. His first reaction was: "We should not be politicizing this tragedy. We should simply pass new gun control laws".

It's a typical ignorant liberal twit statement. You see, only the Conservatives are political. Liberals are simply always right.

This isn’t going to be about gun control. Someone has already looked at the parents voter registration and determined that they were Democrats.

This is going to be about Obamacare and why insurance companies need to fund mental health premiums.

Or they get off their drugs and their dream worlds where they feel indignant and offended spins them into all kinds of violence and murder.

Almost always a bad brain (drugs or not involved) and I do think the Internet access for such kids gets them also set off and they get all charged up easier anyway.
Many spend from what I hear most of their day jerking off to porn, and then when they can’t get friends who can tolerate them or especially can’t get a girl beyond a date or two they get more enraged.
Lots gets them going.

If not a gun, a car, knife, bomb and so forth will be used next.
You and I think A - B - C - D...
These people with problems think A - C - D - B and can pretty much never change.

Who is ready to lock them all up from childhood on as we used to?
If not, they will kill again and again.

It’s not all of them killing but from the mental group lots of them are the shooters, bombers, knife wielding killers.
Such is life and death.
