The Gift of the <strike>Magi</strike> - the Sick Left

The gift of the sick left....

Now that we've had another horrific occurrence of mass murder, the elitist mouth-pieces on the left coast once again weigh in with their usual mantra.....”Guns Kill - Ban Guns!” How ironic when the psychological community warns us of the dangers of feeding hundreds of hours a month of interactive video games to the masses. “Masses” which always include a share of viewers who are unable to process them as fictional; as “entertainment.” Video games featuring macabre scenes of mass murder highlighted by bright red and gory be-headings and bodies brutalized by various high-powered weapons assaults. Blood squirting everywhere and shooters in camo garb high-fiving each other for the quality of their kills!

You wonder why some young people watch this and decide to make their mark in the world by taking this “action” and terrible vengeance to the streets of their local community?

Here's my question for the left - from the very place where most of these videos are produced. What kind of sick and deranged minds come up with these forms of interactive “entertainment?” What kind of illustrators sit down at a desk and draw out horrible scenes of people rushing around a city killing innocent victims on the streets? Or what kind of sick mind visualizes an actor storming some building and killing dozens of the “enemy” aggressors by blowing their heads off or spraying their guts all over a factory floor?

Why don't these producers of such filth and violence think about what they are spreading around the world by their own vocations? Why don't they look in the mirror for the real culprits in this spread of mass violence into our communities. They can't do that, because reality might hit them that the real problem is there on the left coast and to solve it would cost them money..... brotherWes

They always have drama after something like this....two months from now the President will be like mass shooting. What? Gun Control might be tried but will fail. Life will go on for the families with prayers and community support...not government. Seriously we go through drama for a couple weeks and then off to the next tragedy or middle east situation. I would imagine that for the next 14 days, Congress and the President are going to pass a budget plan that tax everyone 1 million and above and very few cuts. That is life in America now that everyone eats up the drama filled media.

I pray that the merciful Spirit of our Holy Father in heaven might fall with tenderness upon the hearts of those hurting in Connecticut today, as they deal with this tragedy of American "life"

Thank you Lord Jesus for your love for us that defies reality. Forgive us for being the people we've become in a nation you once blessed.

“Just sayin.... “

Did the left agree with Tipper Gore when she went after the lyrics in music? The music Tipper went after isn’t 1/100th as bad as the lyrics Obama will be listening to at his Christmas party.

Just sayin....

We’ve had mass murderers long before we had violent video games. Millions and millions of people play these games and never go on a killing spree, so I really doubt they are the cause.

What is amazing to me is the ease with which children can play games on the Wii that shoot enemies. They take the remote and mow down enemy soldiers that look almost real

yet I cannot buy them a cap pistol at the same Toys R Us that sell the Wii games.

Yep, video games are no more capable of mind control than guns are.

No, the real, cause of such tragedies is the complete hollowness of our souls. People can bluster and rant all they want, but the hard, cold reality is that a free and open society cannot exist in a population that has dedicated itself to hating God and removing His precepts from their private and public lives.

You can pass all the laws you want, but laws cannot change the heart of a man, and that's the plain fact that people are assiduously avoiding, particularly the goddless, among whom rank the Democratic Party that openly rejected having the mere mention of God in their platform.

American society, Liberals mostly, have chosen to decouple society from Biblical standards and principles, and then they wonder how all the insanity that follows could happen. They have sown evil and thus they have loosed evil.

There is no mystery here.

Obadiah, well stated. A society that teaches its children they are just a product of chance and no have no eternal value will see more mindless violence unfortunately.

This was an exceptionally useful “twofer” in the eyes of the Current Regime in the White Hut. First, an excuse to bring up the topic of “gun control” again, and secondly, it was an excellent “photo-op” moment for that maverick and warped cowboy, Bronco Bama. Like the disaster that was Superstorm Sandy, he rides into town, gets a few pictures taken, then the sycophant (or is that “Psycho-phant”) media lap up his words and amplify them until nothing else is heard in the discourse.

It is truly distressing that this socially stunted young man had access to weaponry, and that he had opportunity to act upon impulse. But like the shooters in Aurora, Colorado, or Tucson, Arizona, whatever signs may have been displayed before the eruption went either unrecognized, or not acted upon pre-emptively.

This is not a nation that acts pre-emptively, we react. And sometimes quite inappropriately, passing draconian laws that have wholly unintended consequences, or whipping up public wrath against what is altogether the wrong target.

The target is not the access to sidearms or even ammunition, it is lack of any kind of moral compass for the vast majority of children now coming up through schools, and those who have passed through the public education system, their flaws undetected and their critical thinking facilities largely without nurture. But it is just this latter that is not, and likely never shall be, addressed with the Current Regime in the White Hut. In the years after the Second World War, it was a widespread practice to teach something called “civics” or “social problems” at the high school level, so high school graduates had at least the rudiments of how their government was constituted and was supposed to work. It was also part of the curriculum to take up the sport of marksmanship, proficiency in target shooting, so every participant in these courses KNEW the fundamentals of the management, care and feeding of firearms. And every youngster carried some form of clasp knife to school, very handy for carving initials on trees, playing a game called “territory”, and for stabbing frogs or lizards. (Girls almost as often as boys.)

But in the interests of making children “nicer”, i.e., totally conformist, all these rough edges were knocked off and smoothed over, in the manner that would be remniscent of “1984”. There is no greater mischief that may be worked on a child’s mind, than to be molded and shaped in accordance with “modern” education policy as practiced in the public schools, which is a great incentive for home schooling.

Again, the Current Regime cannot possibly follow this course, as it would mean a complete unravelling of the “progress” they have made over the past century.
