Bob Beckel on Fox news asked yesterday, "Why does anyone need an "assault rifle"?
I thought...Why does anyone need a 900 HP muscle car?...they could drive an East German wondercar like the Trabant or a Yaris or some other meager means of transport which aren't so "wasteful and dangerous". Why is there 1st class seating on airliners? Why are there multi CPU, overclocked computers when a plain vanilla Dell would be adequate?
I know you could come up with many more examples like this.
There are many choices we have the privledge to make because we live in this wonderful country. Some of the choices are wasteful, frivolous or dangerous to some. One of the choices we have is the weapon we choose. Whether it's for sport or protection...it's our choice...like many things in our life. You know...."assault weapons" are not Automatic weapons...they are the same mechanically as some hunting rifles with just a change in the stock design...with maybe a pistol grip added. They look more dangerous to these communists in the house and senate so they want to get rid of them. Most don't know a thing about firearms.
We have, and enjoy owning all types of guns because we are Americans and have freedom of choice. It would be wrong to take guns away from good and lawful people. You know the criminals won't give up there's. This is just another lie from the left.
In case we are under assault?
This morning on Fox and Friends, Gretchen Carlson asked the same stupid question.
I went to the gun store this morning and the racks are empty.

I thought they were for defense,food and fun.
Exactly right!!! It took 16 posts to get the correct answer. Gun rights of the individual is based soley on defense, individually or corporately, with the biggest threat to individual liberty is not from a foreign power but the power of a govt run amuck.

I’m still a little lost as to what weapon was used in Newtown; but, I struggle even more to understand what puts the ‘assault’ in assault weapon.
Since this was a close range shooting, I don’t think all the ‘high powered’ hype means much...the lethal factor was the rapid fire. So, if the upcoming call for an assault weapons ban is meant to prevent Newtown from happening again, we will ban:
magazine fed pistols
double action revolvers
magazine fed rifles
semi-auto shotguns
lever action rifles
This leaves bolt action and single shot weapons (and really some people can work a bolt real quick)....and maybe pump shotguns (but people can get pretty fast with those too).
So really, some museum piece single shot 0.22, a breech loading shotgun, or a black powder blunderbuss are the only options left....if we were really concerned about preventing the next Newtown.
Or, we’ll just ban the scary looking ones.
Why have a King sized bed...when a Twin would do?
Why have a Great Dane...when a Tea-Cup Poodle...would do?
Why have a 3500 sq ft. home....when a 1000 sq ft home would do?

Well in my county the cops live on school grounds, nearly every school has ahouse where a cop lives, all schools have had cops assigned to every school for years.
She has no clue how people live outside her elitist circle and most of FOX thinks NY City is America and we should all adopt to how they live.
