Heh. I get some strange looks from other folks in the supermarkets as I’m “fondling” cans, checking for dents, spot-rust, exp date and using my thumb to check the can’s strength. If I can push in the can’s side or top/bottom, I pass on it. Some feel like they’re made from beer can aluminum.

Sorry to be late to the party. Somehow I missed the ping. I don’t think preppers are weird or any of those other names intended to ridicule.
I think preppers are smarter than the average TV addicted citizen. Such intellect naturally has to be used rather than allow the brain to atrophy.
Preppers are more likely to survive. This alone may improve the gene pool when the shtf. LOL.
