The 2013-14 online application will be available January 14th, which will give students enough time to complete and submit the application before the March 2nd deadline. The online application is better because it has built in edits to help students from making common errors. However, if you want to complete the 2013-14 application now, please click the 2013-14 Paper The California Dream Act, authored by Assembly Member Gil Cedillo (Los Angeles), became law through the passage of two Assembly Bills, AB 130 and AB 131.

AB 130 allows students who meet AB 540 criteria (California Education Code 68130.5(a)) to apply for and receive non-state funded scholarships for public colleges and universities.

AB 131 allows students who meet AB 540 criteria to apply for and receive state-funded financial aid such as institutional grants, community college fee waivers, Cal Grant and Chafee Grant.

For more information about the types of financial aid Dream Act students can access, please see our PowerPoint or FAQs.

I think that it's wonderful that California taxpayers are so willing to pay for education for foreign nationals. Online registration makes things a lot easier too.

Yes, Texas' liberal governor and other faux conservatives have set a shining example in how to pander to the ILLEGAL invaders from the south. And Kalifornistan has not hesitated in following Texas' lead in giving instate tuition and financial aid to ILLEGALs and now this. The only difference between Texas' leadership and that of uber-liberal Kalifornistan is the people of Kalifornistan admit their leaders are liberal where many Texans deny to this day that fact about theirs.

Texas is w-a-a-y ahead of Cali on "dream giveaways."

(Cackle) Texans---like Gov Perry---should patent the knack of sucking-up for votes.

Makes you wonder who Californneans were sucking-up to (snix.).

Shucks, Texans are jes' more goldurn "tolerant and compassionate" than Californeeans.

But wait...

The citizens of California passed an act specifically forbidding this in 1994.

We were told by 1 (as in "one") federal judge that we had no right to make an immigration law...and that passing a law forbidding taxpayer funding of illegal aliens was indeed making an immigration law.

Where is Judge Pfaelzer now? Wouldn't she rule this law un-Constitutional as she did for Prop. 187?

No?

Funny how that only works one way.
