That’s what I’m thinking too. I live in a rural area that is largely social conservatives. Best type of place to hunker down and try to survive.
I've noticed that when disasters occur in urban areas, people seem somewhat helpless and lacking the resources or innovation to care for themselves. Whereas rural folks are better adapted to dealing with adversity and self preservation. They seem quicker to join together than their urban counterparts who don't seem familiar with each other as much, even though they live much closer.
