Neither side has cornered the market on hypocrisy. The conservative kind embarrasses me, because thats my team and I cant defend it. The liberal variety, on the other hand, makes me laugh at them, not with them.
Remember the suburban New York newspaper, the Journal News the paper that printed the names and addresses of area residents with gun permits? Well, the Journal News got a lot of flak for their anti-gun stunt, a lot of phone calls and emails that the paper found threatening.
So what did the Journal News do in the face of so much criticism? It hired security guards to protect its offices and its employees. Security guards with guns.
Get it? The journalists at the newspaper believe that guns are bad if they protect you but theyre good if they protect the people at the Journal News even though they dont like guns.
Then theres President Obama. After the terrible tragedy at Newtown he was asked if having armed guards in schools was a good idea.
I am skeptical that the only answer is putting more guns in schools, he said. And I think the vast majority of the American people are skeptical that that somehow is going to solve our problem.
So hes not keen on guns in schools to protect somebody elses kids, but perfectly fine with guns in schools protecting his kids which is exactly how it works since his daughters not only have armed Secret Service agents watching out for their safety but the school his daughters attend also has armed guards on duty to protect the children. But that makes sense, I guess, because special kids go to that school.
And finally, we have Al Gore, a textbook liberal who thinks the rich need to pay their fair share. Except for one liberal: Al Gore.
As you know by now Mr. Gore sold his stake in Current TV to al Jazeera for somewhere between $70 and $100 million. But he wanted to close the deal by midnight on December 31, 2012 to avoid the higher tax rates that went into effect on January 1.
As the philosopher Jane Addams so elegantly put it: The essence of immorality is the tendency to make an exception of myself.
I don’t really find it “funny” any more.
In my mind, this makes them gun owners. Even though they may not own them, they have hired someone who does, specifically because he owns guns. Therefore they are gun-owners, although thru a proxy.
If you can afford to hire a security guard, you hire a security guard. If you cannot afford a security guard, you might consider acquiring a firearm and gaining some skills of your own. What is the difference?
I hope to live long enough to see them get their comeuppance when Americans regain control of Washington.
Void the bowels of Washington!
Genus hyena.
IMHO
Good ole Rino Bernie, slapping conservatives before he can feel safe in slapping liberals.
With idiots like this, who needs enemies?
They make me buy guns and ammo!!!
Al Gore should be paid by cutting off a sliver of a large platinum coin one one-thousandth it’s total size.
I have the best of both worlds. My "significant other" is a lovely woman....who happens to be one bad-ass armed security guard/trainer/supervisor. Seriously....a Cajun, born on the bayou, bayou/country-bred, 3/4-Cherokee certified bad-ass who doesn't know the meaning of "back down". We also have quite a...um....collection, and we know how to use them.
Let's just say I pity the poor bastard who'd EVER even think of breaking into this home. :)
“Broke into the wrong goddamn rec room, didn’t ya’?” Comes to mind for some reason.
LOL.....yeah, and she makes Reba’s character (great movie....cool-movie-reference-kudos to you) look like a wimp. :)
?
this is shocking. Honestly, there is nothing those #$%^%$#@ say that make me laugh. Every time they open their mouths, i just want to hit them with a bat.
Those look like a bunch of modified Freddy Kruger gloves.
That are they?
