Many of us are given to “someplace else” dreams these days. Just out of idle curiosity I first found Dalguete on Wikipedia, which then lead me to the link. So your photo is there...small world! Is there a monsoon season in the Phillipines?

Not particularly. In my four years here, I have not had a day where I could not bicycle to the market.
I experienced my first typhoon this past month.
It was exciting, but did no real damage.
The women of the town had all the leaves and other derbies
swept up my the next day.
There was an overnight power outage, and some minor damage
to a new concrete pier.
The women of the town had all the leaves and other derbies
swept up on the next day.
It was worse to the south of us, with a few casualties.
