>> the dead line will be breached with the first SWAT raids upon citizens suspected of owning legal firearms made illegal by the new gun control laws.
With all due respect — and of course I don’t know, I’m just guessing — I don’t think individual SWAT raids will be the spark that “sets the whole thing off”.
I don’t doubt that in some of these raids, gunowners or government agents or both will be killed. I just don’t think that (for instance) a raid on a particular house or farm will cause OTHER home- or farm-owners to go to GQ.
Here’s how I think it’ll unfold. One or more states (Wyoming is closest at this moment) will pass strong laws precluding enforcement of Federal gun laws. At some point, STATE law enforcement will step in — in a significant way — to stand behind state citizens resisting a Federal search-and-seizure effort.
Once it’s clearly State-VS-Federal, and uniformed blood is shed on both sides — that’s when she blows.
Just my 2c, and FRegards
Probably right. Unless they hit some people that are organized and it turns big because they get help and do some serious damage.
That would be awesome, if state and local authorities met the feds at the line and ordered them back out.
