THREE THINGS - 2. algores satanic filth

2. I caught an interesting factoid ... Algore selling his Marxist agitprop cable station to Al Jazeera last week. ... it was reported that CurrentTV received cable and satellite licensing revenues of $0.12 per month per subscriber - that is the pinch of incense you people who had CurrentTV included in your cable/sat package were paying to Algore. ... Your $0.12 per month multiplied together put $80 million per year in cashflows into Algore's hands in order to spread his evil, satanic filth.

The interesting factoid released last week was that cable/sat licensing revenues comprised 80% of CurrentTV's revenue, with the other 20% coming from on-air advertising. I did not realize that these channels were THAT budgetarily dependent on the cable/sat fees. I would have thought that advertising revenue was in excess of 50% of their total revenue. I was very, very wrong in that assumption.

The point is, you people are paying for this crap, and they are TOTALLY dependent on your monthly pinches of incense. You and your tacit consent via your continued patronage of the cable/sat market are absolutely, positively, without question the entire driving force behind all of it. If they lose the cable/sat licensing revenues, it's lights out, right now. The ad revenue is not even close to sufficient to keep them afloat. That's just the walking around money to them.

How ironic that they are making the lion's share of their money off of people who never, ever watch their channel, but are too apathetic to withdraw their consent and their dollars.

YOU made this psychopathic monster a nine-figure millionaire. If that doesn't convince you of the need to TURN THE SHIT OFF, then I just don't know what to say.

$0.12 per month per subscriber nets 80% of the 80 mil (or more) for this one channel, probably unwatched by but a handfull of people.

We pay for 250 channels to whatch a dozen or so, paying $80 to $120 a month.

This is the rope the communists were talking about.

It’s one of the reasons I dumped TV in ‘97.

I learned in Business 101 that when you purchase a product you are voting for its contunued survival.

Thank you AB. I wish I knew why the pc freaks out when I go to your site, which therefore I never do anymore :(
AB’s just about the bravest woman on the internet. If I owned a country, she’d be on the gold coin.
What she said? You pay cable? Turn that **** off.
Quit being part of the enabler problem.

Post/comment BUMP! Socialism Is Legal Plunder - Bastiat Plundering an unwitting populace using deception or piggybacking off an existing enterprise elevates you to ManBearPig status. The ManBearPig’s carbon footprint is gigantic.

Did you purchase your carbon credits yet? Where’s Occupy Al Gore?

Other than not having cable at all, there is no way to pick and choose among their "packages" of basic offerings, which usually include plenty of decadent offerings.

The grassroots lobbying group Parents Television Council has been trying to get cable unbundled for the past 16 years so that parents keep their televisions clean of sex and violence for the sake of their young kids. But of course, PTC has not succeeded in getting cable providers to offer "choice", because FCC and the media are dead set against parents keeping their televisions clean of sex and violence for the sake of their young kids.

That said, Parents Television Council has done a fantastic job of mobilizing citizens to pressure broadcasters to remove objectionable material during prime time. It's a worthy cause founded by Tonight Show pioneer Steve Allen before he died.

The cable companies practice redistribution of wealth.

You can buy only packages. You can not buy individual channels. If you want A, you must pay for F, K, and Z. Included in the packages are the “minority” channels - the “oppressed and downtrodden.” These channels don’t have a lot of viewers, but they rake in money anyway.

Why must EVERYTHING in this country be about redistribution of wealth?

I have called before and just called again to complain about the packages issue. They tell me they track comments and complaints so I will keep commenting. Told me to email the company also. I resent paying for Current TV and always have. Al Gore only got the channel because of who he is and who he knows and was therefore able to fleece customers and now we get to fund Al Jazeera. Great. I will keep complaining and I tell them that frustration tempts me to stop DTV and watch Netflix and that is true. Perhaps internet TV viewing channel by channel will end the monopoly. What will FCC do then?

He constantly seeks wealth and fame. Do you ever see the man smile? He is a defeated human being losing something he thought he was entitled to when he lost the election to Dubya. Sad... pathetic and sad again. Never had anytime for this guy.

Any support for liberal media sources or Hollywood entertainment puts your resources to work for the other side. These folks who say they’re ready to revolt and then post on how great American Idol or the latest movie was, are like soldiers who keep giving beans and bullets to the other side.

I get all my entertainment, news, music, movies free over the internet. There are some overseas sites that show pirated movies that only recently hit the theatres...but I have found so many interesting programs and movies on YouTube alone that if I spent the rest of my life watching them I’d never get to them all, and new ones keep popping up every day.

There’s an altogether different quality to your viewing when you look for something you would like to see, choose it and watch it, versus an indoctrination tube that pours an unending stream of crap into your skull shile you wander channels and settle for the least worst of what they choose to feed you. Usually along with a little culture bending or mind altering served right up with it.

I ditched the TV just before the analog switch, and what teally turned me off was first, watching Law and Order and it seemed almost on a daily basis the detectives made comments derogatory to conservative views on current social issues. Some of them were vile. But the finishing blow was turning on Saturday morning television and seeing a program about teenagers in a high school, and the narrow minded Christian teenagers were demonstrating on behalf of abstinence and the openly gay teenagers were physically attacking them during their demonstration, and the gay kids assaulting Christian kids were being portrayed to the children across America watching this sickening program, as the heroes. Role models to revere.

I woke up and the TV went in the trash.

Lately I’ve been really getting into BBC period dramas on YouTube. Reminders of a time when personal integrity and a persons word meant something, and how building up over an hour to romantic characters sharing a kiss can be light years more satisfying than metrosexual free for alls where they’re showing their a$$ and spouting filth as soon as the program starts.

Also love action movies and war set in medieval or renaissance times...seen several good ones in that vein lately. And once in a while I like great Kung Fu movies. I like the ones set in old China, with traditional dress and manners, where personal honor means everything.

My escape from an honorless, defiled world where the perverts and traitors are heroes and lies are the stock in trade. Until the day comes when I’m ready to “cut off my pigtail” and scream “death to the Manchus”

And now we are funding our enemy, the Islamic terrorists. It is time to petition DirecTV or your cable/sat provider to remove the channel. Ask for unbundled subscriptions... it’s time has come.

Gore’s sellout to Al Jazeera is total hypocrisy as the network is owned by oil sheiks who profit from filling the atmosphere with carbon dioxide. However Gore is no stranger to hypocrisy. If you were to believe his global warming claptrap his seaside California mansion would soon be flooded by rising sea levels. Doesn’t this affect his credibility? When on his speaking tours berating us for despoiling the planet with our carbon footprints, Gore was known for flying in a private jet and demanding a limo for his transportation. Gore is a charlatan who has grown rich on the biggest hoax ever perpetrated yet his blatant hypocrisy is never reported by the MSM who has long been dead to actual reporting and the truth.

500 channels of garbage. I quit subscribing over ten years ago and have never missed it. I am reminded of the wisdom of my choice when I am at a friend's house and see that the programing has only gotten worse. As an added benefit, I have saved something in the vicinity of $10,000 by not paying for this crap over the years. That's ten grand that Algore and his ilk did not get their grubby paws on. And how can anyone watch the so-called “reality” shows? They are poorly scripted, low budget and an insult to everyone’s intelligence! I feel dumber by just being in the same room where one is being viewed.
