Will Obama give Chief Justice Roberts a kiss on Monday after being sworn in? It was Roberts who saved Obamacare, and for the silliest of reasons - Roberts didn't want to appear vindictive. Remember that Obama and Biden both voted against Roberts's confirmation in the Senate. Roberts is a coward, plain and simple.
John Roberts is a disgrace and a joke. If I were elected President I would refuse to be sworn in by him.
He’s a self-absorbed tool. More concerned with his reputation among people who despise justice anyway than with his constitutional duty. Now Barry gets to appoint Bill Ayers as Ginsburg’s replacement.
All it took was a plain brown envelope on Roberts’ desk, with pictures of his family in the back yard.
Chicago-style politics.
It’s speculative, but I think it had to be something more serious, like blackmail.
When judges play politician, great harm is done to our country. That is CLEARLY what Roberts was doing with 0bamacare. Now we and our children will all suffer accordingly, for many years, if not decades.
Of course, 0bamacare was simply intended to finish off what’s left of our current system anyway. It’ll eventually screw things up so bad, there will be an outcry by the ‘Low Information Voters’ for the politicians to “do something!”. The end result will be the socialization of our healthcare system and the bankruptcy of our country.
I agree. I think it was some sort of blackmail. If he weren’t so scared he could have come out and said the president of the USA was blackmailing him, but he caved. Must have been something really bad.
With Roberts now in the Obama camp, the only positive legacy remaining of GWB are his tax cuts and Alito. Or did I miss something. Only Jebbie knows.
I reluctantly came to that conclusion a couple months ago. After reviewing his previous opinions, statements during the hearings and what he wrote in the original majority opinion (eventual minority opinion), it is clear he did not arrive at the position he eventually wrote without coercion. It just doesn’t pass the smell test.

Or, Roberts may have given his best understanding of the law.
One story I read is that they threatened to take away his adopted children on some technicality. Don’t know if it was true or not.
Pure evil if that is true. Roberts should have reported what they were doing to him.
