When liberals tell you they support another expansion of federal power at the expense of personal liberty you should ask them how'd they feel if President Palin and Majority Leader Cruz and Speaker Ryan had that power.
Do they really want Palin and Cruz and Ryan to control their healthcare or pensions?
Then, while their stammering at the prospect of Palin signing 23 PRO-GUN executive orders or 23 PRO-LIFE executive orders, ask them why they think that giving career politicians and bureaucrats more money and more influence over the lives of ordinary people will improve things for the ordinary people.
Wouldn't it be better for ordinary people lives to simply get a pay increase of 10% rather than a tax increase of ... any percentage? And since it it would be, then doesn't it make more sense to cut taxes - since that amounts to an instant pay increase?
And ask them how disarming 150 million innocent law-abiding citizens who own guns can stop criminals from using their illegally gotten guns...

I agree, don’t bother. They have not tied the “progressive” movement in this country to the international communist movement that killed 100 million people, and they won’t get it until it happens again, if even then.
There is every intention to avoid the lessons of history on their part.
A progressive would not care and then they would laugh hysterically at the notion.

The way I put it is simple: Greed is the rot of any system of government. Which system handles greed the best. A system that has control over every aspect of our life or one that doesn't?
They’re not “liberals”. True Liberalism implies an open-minded and progressive thinking that they’re incapable of..I prefer to call them “Regressives”, because they want to go back to the days of Feudal Lords ruling over Serfs, to the days that everyone thought unborn children were “blobs” and not complex, intricate beings even shortly after conception, etc.

Hitler was left-wing. He was a socialist - as in 'National Socialist'
Like Stalin he created a totalitarian state ruled by an oligarchy in the name of the ‘workers’.
Like Stalin he seized control of the means of production and crushed the middle-class.
Hitler even adopted the swastika - the same symbol used by the Bolsheviks on their banknotes.
Where did we get the idea that he was right-wing? Answer: from the rival communists that he attacked.
In trying to vicariously control everybody else’s behaviors they end up under government control. Currently they imagine and feel themselves to be in charge of government and it extends their power over their neighbors. They are like a kid who will have their big strong brother beat you up.
This is the correct way to argue with a liberal.

National Socialism as opposed to world socialism. There is a left and right in all social systems, with the notable exception of Constitutional Republics. These are facts, not randomly self-generated ideas.
Attacking the opposing left wing (Russia) was the reason Hitler became so hated by Present day lefties who are firmly on the left of the socialist movement.
Hitler allied himself with the lefty monarchist Japanese as they were closest to his socialist beliefs. He allied himself with the islamic movements because their collected political doctrines as outlined in the koran, hadiths, and summahs were his inspirations for "Mein Kampf".
Communists do not regard Hitler as right wing, but as a vile traitor to the collective socialist movement for attacking the Motherland (Russia), and the mass killing of innocent Russian citizens.

You cannot appeal to liberal’s sense of logic, morality or long-term planning.
Liberals are driven by feeling. And it isn’t what others feel is right, it is what they, as an individual, feel is right.
On the occasion that a liberal will accept a logical challenge, the result is always that the conservative logic-based point wins and that the conservative is branded as evil, usually through a lot of illogical labels (”nazi”, “greedy”, etc)
