I just saw something in the news about Jeb Bush running for President( http://www.newsmax.com/Newsfront/bush-presidential-run-2016/2013/02/05/id/488978 )

So Rubio can’t be the next Jeb Bush.

I think he’s the “next Romney” because he’s pretty. The only problem is that his hair looks to be thinning; so by 2016 he might have hair plugs making him perhaps to be the next Biden.

“I dunno, but who’s gonna be the next Rubio?”

When I say “the next”, I d not mean to compare their personal attributes but rather to say that he looks to be the next “anointed one” who has the benefit of always being Fox’s generic Republican against Hillary (or whomever, perhaps 0’s 3rd term) in every poll, every hour of every year.

He will be the one who benefits as Karl the -—hole Rove assassinates the character of every front running conservative through Rove’s ignoble, lying, slanderous commercials throughout the primaries.

That’s what i mean by “the next Romney”

“Rubio to be the GOP elite’s candidate to receive their coronation (Déjà vu):”

If he’s the next GOP choice, I’m for someone else. Anyone else...

I know, I was just teasing. We could also say about him, or rather ask, if he’ll be the next McCain, the choice of the country club, like so many of them are since, oh, I don’t know, Gerald Ford or Spiro Agnew perhaps.

I know everyone is gettign all excited abotu Rubio- But I’ll say it here and nowe that there is just somethign I don’t quite trust about him- It’s kind of like tthe feeling I had abotu Christie before he turned traitor on the GOP- I never trusted Christie and I’m gettign the same kind of gut feeling about Rubio too for soem reason- perhaps it’s how he’s worded thigns i nthe past, or maybe it’s soemthign else, I dunno at this point- reserving judgement until such time as he proves himself a reliable solid right wing conservative-

How about putting 2016 on the back burner until after 2014's elections?

Answer: Yes.

If anyone from FL gets my vote in 2016 (assuming white middleaged males are allowed to vote by then... I envision simply thinking of owning a semiautomatic spitball shooter will be a felony by 2016)...

...I will write in LTC Allen West.

I don’t get the hero worship. I like Sarah Palin because she seems to be a decent person who shares both my political ideology and faith. She also has the political popularity to have a chance of making a difference on a large scale. There are plenty of people who are just as good as her, but they don’t have the popularity necessary to get into the right circles. That said, I’d oppose Sarah Palin if she started espousing things like an immigration amnesty (unless, of course, she had a very good explanation that would address my concerns).

Then you have Marco Rubio. Here’s a guy that pretty much came out of nowhere without a political track record (that I know of) of doing anything substantially conservative other than talking a good game. He played some sports in college, moved almost immediately into “public service” as a state representative, and was only recently elected to his first term as a US senator. He also revealed himself some time ago as an amnesty supporter—as soon as the border is secure of course. Yet, people were already saying he would make a great president.

Now I understand Barack H. Obama came out of virtually nowhere—no private or public sector governing/management experience whatsoever, but that doesn’t mean Republicans have to nominate someone like him. Sarah Palin, frankly, doesn’t have a substantial track record of conservative governance either, but her record looks pretty solid compared to Rubio.

So again, what’s with the Rubio worship? It doesn’t seem very conservative at all. Do we really need a political aristocracy on the right that’s like the one on the left (except ours will have “R” next to their names)???? If we must, can we at least pick ones that believe in conservative ideology rather than the likes of the Bush family who only appear conservative enough to get elected????

We waited until the last minute the last time, aqnd look at the dolt we had running agaisnt dear leader- I think conservatives want to get a good grasp of whos goign to run next- I’m afraid though- judgign by the media’s push of christie and kkkuomo- that those two are goign to be in the running- christie is trying to tap into the liberal vote by beign a traitor to the right- and settign himself up for a run I beleive- then you’ve got kkkuomo gunning for the position too promissing aqll kinds of government aid and liberal ideals- peopel are rightfully nervous about hte next election after the disaster of the last one- and they want ot know how the potentials stack up now, before beign blindsided at the last minute- The GOP field is weak- with no real standouts to speak of that we can tell at htis point-
