lol
Yes, I know it was lip-synched.
I don’t expect them to be able to sing that stuff outside, lol. Or at all, come to think of that.
Not bad...... entertaining...
I know why... because they could! LOL
And because of universal service this speaks to shared experience they’ve all suffered.
Spent two years stationed at a base with ROK air force, my o my how things have changed. They had it rough back then.
It could get real rough again if things go really bad over there.
Yes it could, and it probably will. At least thats what the people I know expect.
I’m not an expert at military matters but I think if it ever did come down to the Norks invading the ROK, I think the Norks would throw away the guns and start grabbing everything they could eat, wear, ride in or put to their ear and listen to.
At the beginning, I assumed this was a poke in the eye for North Korea. But after reading the credits at the end, and the politically correct disclaimers, I realized it was just the usual GI humor about life in general. Lotta memories there of course.
You were stationed there? Thank you for your service.
I love watching Korean dramas with subtitles online. :p
I didn’t mean to imply by “memories” that I was in Korea, though I did my time during that period. My best friend, a fellow 1950 mechanical engineering grad, also got drafted but found himself over there in a replacement depot. He was pulled out of a formation and told there was a need for a draftsman at UN HQ in Pusan. This conscientious guy told the officer “But I’m not a draftsman - - I’m an engineer!” When he was told “Well, you can take this job, or you can go up North where they’re fighting” he finally wised up.
