“Didn't know the Marines had to take the bolts out of their rifles for the Inaugural,” an email forwarded to Gun Rights Examiner from a United States Marine Corps source observed. “Wonder if someone can explain why [they] would be marching in the inaugural parade with no bolts in their rifles!”
The email linked to a YouTube video of the 57th Presidential Inaugural Parade, embedded in this column, featuring Bravo Company Marines from the Marine Barracks Washington. Sure enough, the observation in the email is confirmed by watching the video, with screen shots provided in the photo and slide show accompanying this article.

Out of an abundance of caution, what or to whom do all the new Agencies militarized police forces take an oath to? Specifically, Homeland Security, fusion center folks, militarized Department of Education cops, and so forth.
Zero’s probably afraid they might mistake him for an American Citizen and that they might also be part of the group that would be willing to fire on said Citizens...
Talk about paranoid. President Obama must be a nervous wreck when he’s around Marines?
And Obama is willing to go as far as keeping veterans disarmed even after their time on active has come and went. Part of the questionnaire administered when purchasing a firearm will ask you if you were ever in the military and if you say yes, then were you ever in combat. If you say yes to this, surely you suffer from PTSD. So no approval.

I really enjoyed your post. The M-1 and the M-14 are almost the same rifle.... in fact the M-14 was originally designated the M-1A. I have no idea why these guys are carying M-1s... The USMC’s Silent Drill team, from the same psot carries M-14s.....
The Marines in the photo appear to be ceremonial troops from 8th and I Barracks in Washinton DC....USMC Headquarters.
Clinton was constantly being insulted by Marines without his, or for that matter the general publics, awareness....
I always get a bang out of his visit to Camp Lequne early in his 1st Term. The Marines with him were constantly shouting “Uhrah!” a word that the Marines took from the Turkish Troops they served with in Korea, which means “Kill!”
Clinton’s speech that night thanked the Marines for their “Hoorays” they constantly gave him and Hillary.....Dems are so clueless.....lolololol
GWB was comfortable in and among the troops of any branch or service....you’ll note that after Obama’s first few visits to Marine facilities early in his first four years, he rarely visits. Given the numerious photos of Marines frowning at him during these visits it’s no wonder he only feels comfortable when they have obviously non fuctional rifles at hand.
Pretty sad that the CIC can’t feel “safe” among his own troops, especially the creme of the crop like those at 8th and I......
The operating rod handle is fully forward in the photo. Had there been bolts in those rifles they would have been clearly visable.
Perhaps in the New Obamanation, it would be safer for an force of gun toting lesbians from Homeland Security - the New Brownshirts - to protect Obama.
