Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa) is leaning more and more toward a Senate run, and he says that signals from Karl Rove's super-PAC that they'd oppose him have made him much more likely to run than he otherwise would have been...

Atta boy, Steve the King.

Post your campaign addy so that we can send you some green paper personally signed by Obama’s old waterboy Timmy Geightner.

BTW, ol’ “Turd Blossom” Rove is helping those of us who are TAXED ENOUGH ALREADY a lot more than he wants to admit.

Here is the reason PRO AMNESTY Rove wants to get rid of King! He dared to defy the Bush/Rove/Norquist AMNESTY

Biting the Hand That Feeds You
From the desk of...

Congressman Steve King -

[snip]What would that May 1st look like without illegal immigration? There would be no one to smuggle across our southern border the heroin, marijuana, cocaine, and methamphetamines that plague the United States, reducing the U.S. supply of meth that day by 80%. The lives of 12 U.S. citizens would be saved who otherwise die a violent death at the hands of murderous illegal aliens each day. Another 13 Americans would survive who are otherwise killed each day by uninsured drunk driving illegals. Our hospital emergency rooms would not be flooded with everything from gunshot wounds, to anchor babies, to imported diseases to hangnails, giving American citizens the day off from standing in line behind illegals. Eight American children would not suffer the horror as a victim of a sex crime.

King will do for himself NOT to broach the subject of rape, other than it's a heinous, evil crime which must be punished to the fullest extent of the law.

I'm no defender of Rove here, but Akin deep-sixed his own candidacy.

Same thing with Murdock of Indiana. Those two seats should be GOP controlled, not democrat !

Yep. Akin made his own bed. That was the single dumbest moment in modern political history, atl least on our side of the aisle. . It was not only offensive, but it was nonsensical. I usually will stand by our people when under attack, but in that case Akin absolutely should have bowed out. Any replacement would have won. He did a huge disservice to the whole party Huckabee and the rest should have stayed quiet. That was not a time to make a stand. It was not the people vs the establishment. It was a fatal candidate error that should have been corrected for the good of the party and the country.

Tom Latham would be more electable than Steve King. King is great but would lose in the general election. “Will Tom Vilsack run?” is the the real question. I think he would win handily.

“Tom Latham” is NOTHING more than a Carbon-Copy of Cry-Baby Boner. Steve King would KILL Vilsack, Latham and ANYONE else. “electable”, MY ASS!

SCREW YOU, I have seen what Rinos and GOP-e(Latham, Brandstad, Ray and the like) have DONE to MY STATE! The Iowa GOP-e couldn’t even get SOMEBODY decent to EJECT Vilsack.

Ummm, I never said I support any RINOs. Just stating an opinion that Latham has a better chance at winning the general than does Steve King. Do you really think Vilsack would not have really good odds to win the seat? I think he would be a shoe-in.

Rove has been put on ‘pay no mind’ list by Conservatives so he wants to get some power to work against them.

Shades of Lindsay Graham/ McCain et al.

Maybe Rove can’t get this through his OVERSIZED HEAD, but if he tries working with people that are liked by the base, they might actually get elected.

...of course that assumes that Rove can live with conservatives getting power.

I’m sorry, but I agree with others. Atkin had NO ONE ELSE to blame but himself. If he wants to give that kind of whacked out answer to a question, there are PLENTY of forums to do that, but not in a Senate race in a swing state.

Some of use are pretty damn pissed at him...particularly because he wouldn’t withdraw when he had the chance. He managed to do more damage to Republicans than Carville or others could have dreamed of.

But Rove doesn’t like true conservatives, he only wants go-along-to-get-along *team players*—in other words RINOS.
