Good. Now let’s hope he A) doesn’t say anything stupid between now and then. B) that the RINO’s, CINO’s, and Socialists in either Party have a hard time making their lies stick.

I don’t really see Rand Paul being the conservative pick. He’s not crazy much like his dad, but he still has some pretty libertarian and non-conservative views.

He’s just a “darling” today because he attacked Obama about drones killing Americans. Tomorrow, he’ll do something “wrong”, and everybody will be calling him a RINO and saying he is finished and trying to gin up a tea party candidate to attack him.

IN fact, I’m surprised he’s still the darling since he said McConnell is a good conservative who deserves to be re-elected. Because McConnell is currently “out” with the “conservatives”, because having a 100% ACU rating doesn’t really mean anything when you don’t somehow kill enough democrat senators so you have a majority and can pass legislation.

If Paul is on board with the Libertarian Party's lassaize-faire attitude and platform on illegal immigrants, legal immigrants, uncontrolled borders, drugs, et al, then he can suck it in my book. I'll just stay home

After polling 190,000 conservatives, Contract From America found that Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul is the favored GOP presidential pick for 2016,

Rand Paul is good, so far...

I'll wait til after the '14 election to see who will be running...

Much as it sucks, it’s gotta be said... it doesn’t matter who the Repubs nominate in 2016...

Too bad Sarah Palin is not now “a senator from Alaska.”

What in hell is she up too?

I’ll support Rand 100% if he runs and I hope someone like him does. Just let us please not have a bunch of retreds from 2012/2008 again. Having to choose between Newt Gingrich, Rick Santorum, and Mitt Romney was like being at a restaurant with a menu no one really wants. Rand has sufferred through adequate scrutiny and he is very articulate. We need someone who isn’t afraid to make the arguments and who will take the fight to the opposition using whatever tool is available. Taking a wait and see atitude like many in the GOP and just letting issues shrink to the background isn’t a strategy for winning.

The left when they care about something push it over and over and over again. They get outraged, they stay outraged. We need to take a few notes from their playbook because if you aren’t standing up for what you believe how in the hell will you convince anyone else to? I’d never vote Democrat but I can appreciate them not backing down no matter how screwed up their political worldview. Imagine if we had a congress full of Rand Pauls, Mike Lees, Ted Cruzs, Marco Rubios, Ron Johnsons? I know none of them are perfect but they are light years better at fighting the fight to win than the good old boys like McCain, Graham, and McConnell.

I don’t hate the good old boys. I just wish they’d strap on a testosterone patch and join the fight or shut the hell up and get out of the way.

This is good.

Rinos will do the usual - pit conservatives against one another and walk away with a losing minority.

Paul will be slandered as being his crazy dad and he’s not. They will say he’s a racist and he’s not.

The loudest and most radical of the libertarians hate Rand Paul because he is not his father.

Rand Paul would be a superb president and is pretty much unstoppable now. He only needs to do a little better than his father in Iowa and New Hampshire and he’s our nominee. Good luck Rand.
