BOSTON The three Republican candidates for US Senate are ratcheting up their rhetoric, with two of the candidates calling on GOP hopeful Michael Sullivan to reject ads launched by a group they describe as anti-gay.
The radio and television ads by the Conservative Campaign Committee are aimed at helping Sullivan defeat Gabriel Gomez and Daniel Winslow in the Republican primary.
Gomez said Sullivan should tell the group to take down their ads or "deliver these attacks himself." Winslow faulted Sullivan for saying he wasn't familiar with the group, which Winslow described as "anti-gay."
The group's leader has described gay activists as "relentless" and "vicious."
A Sullivan spokesman returned the criticism Wednesday, saying Winslow has tried to divide Republicans on the abortion issue while a Gomez letter pledging support of President Obama on guns and immigration is a tough sell for Republicans.
That’s why I’m voting for Sullivan!
Gay activists are relentless and vicious. What’s wrong here?
Me too! It’s nice to see a conservative as the front-runner.
“Gay activists are relentless and vicious. Whats wrong here?”
Because that’s mean talk. And that’s not allowed! (unless it’s against a conservative).
Ain’t that a fact. Go Sullivan!
“Gay activists are relentless and vicious. Whats wrong here?”
Exactly what I was going to say! It’s completely true!
All that gay pandering just to see which RINO gets to lose to the Jackass . . .
For those not familiar with him, Gabriel Gomez is the Jon Huntsman of the MA GOP: it came out that he’d written a groveling letter to Democrat Gov. Deval Patrick (Obama’s mini-me), begging to be named to Kerry’s open senate seat. Boldly bipartisan, and all of that.
Mass. has a GOP???
You could knock me over with a feather.
