"The puppet group of south Korea is resorting to smear propaganda campaign to seek its comfort by forcing others into death like itself," KCNA said today.
Warning of impending nuclear war, the chilling rant by the state run news agency continued: "The arrows indicating the merciless retaliatory strikes have already been drawn directing at the U.S. mainland, U.S. military bases in the Pacific and all other bases where the U.S. imperialist aggression forces station.
"The powerful strike means of the revolutionary armed forces of the DPRK have been put in their places and the coordinates of targets put into the warheads.
"Just pressing the button will be enough to turn the strongholds of the enemies into the sea of fire." "The U.S. and south Korean war maniacs are gravely mistaken and misjudged if they think they can have lucky chance." Meanwhile, US secretary of State John Kerry has said North Korea will not be accepted as a nuclear power and will come to the defence of the South if necessary, in talks over the escalating tensions on the Korean peninsula today.
North Korea would be making a "huge mistake" if it launched one of its medium-range missiles during the current standoff between it, the United States and South Korea, Mr Kerry warned.
Mr Kerry is discussing the crisis with President Park Geun-hye and his South Korean counterpart as well as US military commanders in the country....

A very Saddam like rant...
Any time now Obama will be teeing up...
If North Korea has China’s approval to start a war then North Korea and China combined will “clean our clock.”
Bullshit.
Yea, these guys are truly out to lunch.
“Pyongyang, April 11 (KCNA) — The sacred war of justice for putting an end to political and military provocation by the U.S. and the south Korean warmongers and achieving national reunification is the only way for achieving durable peace on the Korean Peninsula.”

The NK ( translated) propaganda new site.
China won’t go to war against the west. Bad for business.
I think I’d be reluctant to throw the word “maniac” around if I were Little Kim.
How ya gonna keep em down on the farm
after they’ve smelled Pyongyang?
America isn't what most foreigners think it is. I've hosted too many eurotrash exchange students when I was younger, and they just can't believe the size and how wide open our country is.
We don't have 'strongholds'. We have cesspools on both coasts, and fly-over country in the middle. The strength and power of America is widely dispersed, and somewhat cranky and hard to get along with.

I enjoyed your authentic frontier gibberish. :)
Correct.
North Korea will huff and puff for a few more weeks until the US/South Korea exercises are done and planting season begins. Then their antiquated army will be out in the fields helping their farmers plant this years crop. Yes, they'll probably launch a couple missiles, but nothing is likely to come of it. We go through this every year, and every year the media gets excited and tells us it's the worst it's ever been. I trust next year will be no different.
Not to mention our military is far more powerful. They have more people...big deal. We’ve got better equipment and personnel by leaps and bounds. Our troops also have lots of real world experience.
Now, this is from N K, but this is their opinion on our view of them thinking they are full og bologne.
Pyongyang, April 11 (KCNA) — The Secretariat of the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of Korea (CPRK) released information bulletin No. 1029 Thursday.
The puppet group of south Korea, taken aback by the toughest steps taken by the DPRK to defend its dignity and sovereignty, is letting loose absurd remarks, the bulletin said, and went on:
Those concerned of the puppet regime including Chongwadae, experts and conservative media have remarked that the north will not provoke an all-out war even though it ratchets up threats. They are describing those steps as “brinkmanship tactics”, saying that study into the inside of the north shows that the people are leading a peaceful life as usual.
They are also calling those steps an “extreme psychological warfare” and “sort of propaganda”.
Our comment to their rhetoric about “psychological warfare” and “propaganda” is that they are free to think at their will but should not belatedly regret having done such a thing.
Now south Koreans buy out food and daily necessities out of extreme war-phobia, making volumes of sale soar.
Several countries are taking measures to provide shelter or evacuate their people residing in south Korea, and foreign students, businessmen and institutions are thrown into chaos, trying to find their way out of south Korea.
The puppet group of south Korea is resorting to smear propaganda campaign to seek its comfort by forcing others into death like itself.
The arrows indicating the merciless retaliatory strikes have already been drawn directing at the U.S. mainland, U.S. military bases in the Pacific and all other bases where the U.S. imperialist aggression forces station.
The powerful strike means of the revolutionary armed forces of the DPRK have been put in their places and the coordinates of targets put into the warheads.
Just pressing the button will be enough to turn the strongholds of the enemies into the sea of fire.
However, the south Korean regime is talking about “psychological warfare” and “propaganda campaign”. This is a despicable act which can be done only by imbeciles and fools unaware of what an all-out action declared by the DPRK is like and what consequences their acts will entail.
As for their talk about peaceful activities in the north, it is the fixed will of the army and people of the DPRK to carry on production and construction till midnight today and have children taught at schools even though a war might break out tomorrow.
The DPRK has won victories in confrontation with the U.S. in this spirit and is waging an all-out action with it, with confidence in final victory.
The enemies should know that it is the era of the great Marshal Kim Jong Un, leader of the most powerful country and invincible great Paektusan nation.
The U.S. and south Korean war maniacs are gravely mistaken and misjudged if they think they can have lucky chance.
War can break out any moment and what remains to be done is merciless punishment of the enemies.
Belated regret will be useless and not a single man will be able to survive to regret for his doing.
As for their talk about peaceful activities in the north, it is the fixed will of the army and people of the DPRK to carry on production and construction till midnight today and have children taught at schools even though a war might break out tomorrow.

It's only as powerful as its leaders' willingness to wield it.
And considering who's in charge, that willingness is completely in question.
If I were President I would have some underling hold a press conference and ridicule the NK president and ask him to publicly retract his statements and apologize to the world community. I would state that we have no desire for war but if they launch any missiles we will have no choice but to destroy the missiles and their command and control infrastructure. Humiliation and retaliation.
He got away with Benghazi because only four people died.(I know it is unacceptable) If a nuke hit Tokyo or Seoul, everyone would be calling for action. Even Obama isn’t stupid enough to let a nudet slide.
Ditto
