Organizing for Action (OFA) executive director Jon Carson said his group will now pour resources into opposing Senators who opposed gun control--especially Democrat Senators. This means Sens. Max Baucus (D-Mont.), Mark Begich (D-AK), Heidi Heitkamp (D-ND), and Mark Pryor (D-AR) are marked for defeat by their own party.
While OFA does not engage "in electoral politics," they can go from now until the 2014 elections doing what they will to create a divide between these Senators and their constituents.
Said Carson: "This is one of those moments where we have to prove that in the face of a setback we're not backing down. That's the calculation that some Senators were mistaken on...The consequences they're going to have to face are a bunch of angry constituents who are going to keep the issue alive."
On the other hand, Carson said OFA will support Senator Pat Toomey (R-PA) and "show how much they appreciate his leadership."

This is good for us. Just as moderate republicans are easy pickings for democrats, so are moderate democrats easy pickings for us. Heitkamp was just elected but Begich, Baucus and Pryor are easy seats to take.

Gun confiscation is a big priority for the Communist DemocRATS. The slavery of communism can’t happen if the people have guns. I can understand why they are mad that they couldn’t pull this off.
According to dems, republicans who agree with them are moderates. Those who disagree with them are radical and inflexible.
I think the Obama administration is badly, badly underestimating the opposition they face.
Obama is president right now because he is black and America needed to get over our national obsession with that. He was virtually assured victory from the day he announced. And two lame presidential candidates as opponents merely made it easy.
However. That is all changing now.
Obama was re-elected. This is his last term. America has proved to everyone in the world we are not racists. So now we get back to a real candidacy next time around.
If Obama makes a point of tossing out moderate Dems, then he (well not he, but they) will get plastered next time around.

As with most things for the last few years this is all about “Dear Leader” He has this permanent campaign organization that will do his bidding.
Obama thinks he is above history. What we’re seeing is the natural political order of things, as senators and house members realize that this guy can’t really do anything for me anymore, he’ll be gone in four years and I want to be here longer than that so I’m going to need to change my tune if I want to stay. Obama was at the very height of his power right after his reelection, and his political power wanes by the day as he becomes just the president, old news.
This should be called what it is: “A ‘purge’ from the Democrat party of those who are not doctrinally correct.”
It actually presents an opportunity for Republicans and conservatives to point out to the Democrat rank and file how very “exclusive” the Democrat party is.
