i doubt any birth certificate was provided to the state.
BUT, fraud was committed when he was put on the ballot without verifying the eligibility.
elections are run by the state.
the names on the ballot are up to the state.
the STATE approved the names.
SOMEONE at the state level committed fraud when they allowed 0bama to be on the ticket without verifying. hell, they’ve committed fraud if they didn’t collect Romney’s information, as they don’t know if he’s eligible to be on the ticket. the same for EVERY candidate for every federal office, as you MUST insure they are citizens
that’s the sticky bit... and the bit the sheriffs office should tackle.
find the person on the state level that approved the names without verifying... then demand they get verification of eligibility... or file charges.
if they received fraudulent qualifying papers, then fraud was committed in the jurisdiction and the sheriff should be able to prosecute.
