I’d nuke DC.
A rather silly premise.
Government would not give up power to allow that kind of chaos — for even one day.
Almost any "teen slasher" movie depends completely on idiot plot.
So does current American Politics...
Quite so. And half the population is below average ...
The answer to your questions will become terrifyingly crystal clear to you if you actually, oh, I dunno, actually look it up.
I’d rip that damned matress tag right off there!
utterly stupid movie.
anyone with money would be in bunkers and armed to the teeth, unlike this family. they wouldn’t “stay’home” unless there was an unbreachable bunker inside it. they’d also have active security systems where they could take out anyone on the grounds or inside the house.
further why on earth does this help the country?
further who believes murderers and rapists and chaos makers would agree to this stupid, arbitrary time period?!?
criminals don’t care about laws whether they’re okay by the state to murder others or not.
it really is one of the dumbest premised movies i’ve seen come out in a long, long time.
not really. one class of students is placed on an island, the game is last one alive wins freedom. try to escape or if you try a pact with more than one living, an explosive neck ring goes off. premise was the youth were too violent towards adults, so adults clamped down and a random class is picked eaxh year to battle each other to the death as a form of keeping the rest of the kids in line obeying authority.
It was unbelievable the stupid decisions they make in the movie.
Watching him struggle with the Shotgun revealed that they were definitely liberals. A conservative would have had his own conceal carry (or there, open carry) piece.
That was Los Angeles during the riots - the police were SICK of being accused of every crime and abuse one could think of (prior to the riots...and I remember that, I was out there). So the police simply sat back and decided that they WOULD NOT be the problem that time.
If you were armed and organized, like the Koreans, you got through it in pretty good shape. If not, you were at their mercy.
Many cops were terrified and cowardly, and of course incompetent.
Among the more decent citizens they would confiscate guns if they could get the straights to turn them over.
Oh, I know. I read the book in 2000. The environment just sounds the same.
