I think they’re a lot more worried than they’re letting on. She’s still in office for another 18 months but has left them with an invalid target.

The democrats have been throwing themselves at the door trying to bust it down and Bachmann just yanked it open on them.

Let’s get real, Jim Graves dropped out as a potential Democrat candidate for this seat simply because he realized that the Holy Grail of massive fundraising and a large “war chest” was gone once Bachmann made her announcement.

With the possibility of a large war chest gone Graves would no longer have the opportunity to have massive amounts of cash to use to enrich his family and friends (for dubious consulting and other service contracts). So, he figures, why waste his time on a losing effort when there’s no pay-off.

Local Republicans need to insure that the Republican nominee for this seat is a true conservative and that the RNC and the GOPe are foiled in any attempts they make to entrench a RINO in the seat.

No telling how many millions in prepositioned ads these cretins already had lined up to throw at Mrs Bachmann.

Sometimes making them spend the money hurts them more than losing.

In 2010 the democrats spent twice as much as the republican in my district but lost the seat anyway. In 2012 they ran a low budget placeholder rather than waste the money.
