Twelve Oclock High
I watched it enough in several phases of USAF PME. And...
Strategic Air Command
Corny, but I love all of the old SAC scenes.
I just saw “Strategic Air Command” recently for the first time, and while it is corny, it has some great, GREAT footage in it!

Yes, a great movie. Good cast, too.
That movie showed the Soviets we could kick their butts. They took notice.
“Twelve O’Clock High” is one of the finest films ever made..War, avaition, and the psychological study of men under great stress. I was tryign to lmit the thread to non-military films.. As great as the film is, the book is also a superb read. I have a copy..Long out of print..they show up on Amazon from $50 - $500. Why they don’t make it available for an e-reader I don’t understand.
Yes, I loved that movie. Sadly, I don not believe it is available on DVD. I did purchase a used VHS of it on ebay, though.
Another good movie (for its flying scenes, not so much for its plot) is The Final Countdown. I still think the Tomcat is one of the coolest fighters ever.
