A whole lot of people genuinely forget that there are Christians who are indigenous to the area. They tend to think that there are only Arab muzzies and European Jews who immigrated to the British Mandate (prior to 1948) and to the State of Israel (post 1948).
In conversations with low-information types, they are shocked, SHOCKED, I tell you that there are actually Christians living over there who were not evangelized by modern missionaries.
I'm not saying that you are one of those...I've also heard from some folks that they consider the indigenous Christians almost as bad as the Muslims. And that is why I asked the question.
