Teresa Heinz Kerry, wife of U.S. Secretary of State John F. Kerry, was taken to a hospital on Nantucket this afternoon, according to a person close to the family, Boston.com reports.

Probably heat prostration.....I have gone through that experience due to walking 18 holes on hilly courses and not drinking enough water and playing too fast. If that is what it is, she will recover quickly. Any other reason not so good.

I’m always struck by the irony of Heinz money sponsoring left wing organizations. But I think she was deeply in love with John Heinz if not the Republican Party and/or conservative causes.

I’ve noticed that a lot of women in or aspiring to Washington’s Green Book social circles find it mandatory to have an escort who meets minimal societal standards (proper education, looks good or at least decent in white tie, knows which fork to use when, good at small talk, etc). Love and affection and political party affiliation have little to do with it. Teresa found JFnK acceptable.
