The hits from Obamacare just keep coming. As is typical with progressive liberal policies, us meek peasants have to live in the nightmare world that they have created while the liberal elites and their allies do not have to adhere to the same laws and rules. This was hammered home again this week when it was announced that the federal government would be subsidizing the health insurance premiums of Congressional staffers.
The Office of Personnel Management has stated that members of Congress and their staffs would get the federal subsidy on the new government-run "exchanges", but not be "eligible for the law's tax credits and subsidies to buy insurance." The repercussions of this is staggering (and a good write up can be found at the Daily Caller), but first and foremost, is that nothing in the current law seems to support this decision. However, Obama and his political cronies are rather adept at ignoring laws to suit their own needs. This really shows that the law really only applies to us, the little people who don't belong to a labor union or are working in a cushy government job.
You see, the rule of law does not apply to the elite progressive liberals as they're so far above us common folk. The many insane beliefs that liberals spout as they tell us how we should live our lives never apply to them. They say cut back our carbon footprint due to global warming (a hoax), but they continue to live in huge air-conditioned mansions and fly their private jets. They decry capitalism and denigrate businessmen who seek to earn a profit, but they'll gladly charge $10-20 million to appear in a movie or rake in millions making tv shows or doing concert tours.
Obama's administration has said that the federal subsidy is important to stop any "brain-drain" from Congress and their staffs, but I personally think there's little brains left there to actually drain. But what about the "brain-drain" in the private sector? Businesses are laying people off, reducing their hours, and not hiring due to the penalties of Obamacare. Where's the compassion for them? The answer is that there isn't any because Obamacare has always been about control and destroying private health insurance.
So far, Obama has issued over 1200 waivers to companies for Obamacare. Your first thought is that companies with clout are getting special treatment, but another story emerges if you look at the numbers. Private employers with a total of 69,813 employees have gotten waivers overall. Contrast that to labor unions with a total of 543,812 workers getting waivers from Obama. That's practically a 9-1 ratio in favor of unions.
The laws and regulations passed by big government liberals never apply to them, just normal hard-working peasants who live in flyover country. Perhaps one day we'll realize that our betters in government know far more than us and are incredibly wise and we should relinquish all personal decisions to them. Or perhaps we should stand up and yell "NO!" at the top of our lungs and kick the bums out of office. I feel that it's not too late, but time is slipping away.
Further, wait until Americans see the class of doctor the to which the American public will have access; i.e their feathers and rattles will amaze you. The politicians and their buddies will have the real doctors.

This is first rate hypocrisy yet nothing but crickets from the MSM. Can you imagine the media firestorm if George Bush had done this?
If Bush had done anything close to this, there would be wall-to-wall coverage. Since the media has their lips surgically attached to Obama’s butt, nothing is said.
