Customers of Walmart.com, Sears.com and Amazon.com have taken up social media arms today over an item sold by third-party resellers on each of the three respective sites, resulting in the Dead Dog Prop vanishing quickly from listings.
The product description reads: Foam filled latex prop of a skinned dog with a large tire track squished through its mid torso. Chain attached for dragging purposes. You have seen bloody road kill, this is bloody road kill.
As of this writing, the three companies above each had a number of customer complaints on their Facebook pages as well as expressions of outrage and disgust directed at them via Twitter as well.
Pretty darn tasteless.
I assume it was made in China?
Oh good lord. Nobody loves dogs more than me but this pansy ass whining over crap like this is getting old.
bet theyre theyre selling...like...hot rice cakes in China..../s
They sell the real thing there.
An important feature of socialism is the need to compare yourself to others, or to induce others to do so.
This is part of why people become eerily snobby when driving an eco car, even though such cars are not especially expensive —the driver is IN SOME SENSE “BETTER” than others.
This is also why people so affected also pretend to be more sensitive to the needs of some group or entity said to be somehow embattled —minorities, animals, battered women, people battling addictions, colliding football linemen, the homeless, kids carrying heavy bookbags....the list is long.
The important thing is not simply to care, but to care MORE THAN OTHERS, or at the very least to *appear* to care more to others. A key feature is striking poses and making statements.
Remember competitive sports in school..? Okay well this is competitive caring:
Here, you see some who don’t especially like animals eagerly jumping in to castigate suppliers of this dog model, while non-socialists who are crazy about animals feel no special need to pressure removal of the dog model.
“Oh good lord. Nobody loves dogs more than me but this pansy ass whining over crap like this is getting old.
I agree. Geez, it is a joke.
It’s a sick joke, and even worse is that you would think it’s harmless. Ain’t there enough people out their killing animals in the street for ya? Stuff like this makes it seem okay to what are now kids, who will grow up wanting the play “hit the dog”
Think of the future. We’ve got enough out there who do not care as it is, you want to make more of them?
PING!
Get aload of this.
so you contacted everyone who complained about this to find out their standing?
Making assumptions aren’t we?
Oh great! May I suggest other ‘props’ since some are not offended/disturbed by this they should get a real laugh out of my ideas.
Dead Muslim prop- Lifesize raghead, wrapped in fake bacon, with noose attached. Drag or hang. Koran with dog crap extra.
Dead “Drag” Queen- Drag a drag queen. Transvestite ‘corpse’. Ugly guy dressed in outrageous female clothing.
Think that would be a ‘joke’?
I can imagine stupid/cruel children seeing this and thinking ‘hey, I got a dog...’ or ‘lets catch that stray and...’. If ONE person being ‘offended’ can stop traditional Christmas decorations or pageants, ONE person being offended should be able to stop this.

That is the greatest definition of a liberal I have ever seen!...........We all know it...... but could never put it to words like that...
Why would they want that on their sites?
They have every right not to allow third parties to sell that on their sites.
These websites are not the sellers, they allow 3rd parties to advertise through their sites. They have every right not to let this be advertised on their sites.
I am a dog lover; in fact all four of my darlin’s are sleeping around my feet as I type this, “but that right there is funny as hell”.
It’s just a joke people, get over it.
They sound pretty good to me.
I especially like the muslim one.
I'm waiting to see how snobby the couple of 'smart car' drivers in the nearest town in North Dakota act when they are teetering on a snowdrift this winter...(there has been a huge influx of people from elsewhere who have yet to spend a winter).
I won't let my granddaughter have her old Geo Metro yet (too much heavy truck traffic--1 vehicle in 3), I can't imagine being in one of those glorified golf carts in the midst of the normal highway chaos here.
You give a very useful concept and in only two words...competitive caring. Excellent and spot on.
