Actually, it was where he was going at the end of the excerpt that prompted me to read on.
I thought it was sarcastic and mocking enough that it would be obvious as satire. But it’s not far off from what Zero actually says.

When I read the almost-exact same words in the comments of HuffPo, WaPo, NYT, LAT, and every article in CNNBCBSMSNBCABCDisney, it’s 99% or higher to be a Leftist.
You don’t have to write satire about them; just copy-paste their own words.

The only winners with this law are businesses which remove individuals from company plans and provide a stipend to their workers for health care. There costs are now either equal or less than they were AND the US Treasury will collect taxes on the stipend as it will be considered “other income”.

I’m shocked at how many Freepers have whiffed on this. It is excellent satire. The collective IQ - and morale - of FR has declined since the Good Old Days... as lamented the Ancient Greeks...
I found that the excerpt made it pretty obvious that it was satire.

This is satire, right?
Because such a fevered rant would not normally be the product of a sane mind, assuming the writer of this prose has any serious contention to make. He certainly does not make any valid points, attacking straw men and reasoning from wholly specious premises.
Fact is, the whole tone of the piece is a mockery of all the rationalizations the defenders of Obamacare make on behalf of this badly written and misnamed “Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010”.
By doing so you will miss some of the better ending sentences...
