I haven't heard this possibility brought up, but that might be because I haven't read every post. It's been a very busy week, and Obastard is doing his best to overflow the piss-off bucket. But, a thought dawned upon me yesterday when I was reading a story in IBD about the next big scary deadline coming up, the Debt-Limit that we're supposed to hit on 10/17.
I think Obastard is being a total pr**k about shutting down parks, landmarks and private property because he's building up cred for a threat he intends to pull next week. He's lost a lot of credibility with his threats recently because, at least on the foreign scene, he's been shown to be rather, uh, "toothless."
What's the big threat? We're all expecting it so I don't think I'm shocking anybody when I say he intends to deliberately default on our bond interest payments. It's well known that he doesn't have to do that, and any normal business would ensure the bond-holders get serviced first, but I think he's planning to stiff the folks holding the debt, and that's us. Yes, the Chinese will take it in the shorts, but I think the Fed holds the biggest chunk of the debt these days. At least, they're the only fools buying it lately, since the S&P downgrade.
He's infuriating everybody right now for the same reason a battleship bombards an enemy before an invasion: To "soften us up." He would rather create mayhem the likes we haven't seen in my lifetime than try to get spending under control. He wants to deliberately crash the economy, and this is his big chance, all the while blaming the Republicans, especially TEA Partiers. We're all Emmanuel Goldstein now.
I see a golden opportunity to put troops in the streets, and dissidents in jail.
Considering the way he treated his mother, and the grandmother who raised him, it wouldn’t surprise me if he cut off SS to the seniors.
He appears to have little caring or concern for them, and shame on the democrats in congress for putting up with this narcissistic sociopath.
I took a bit of a risk there, but I figured since this isn't Saturday morning....

I hope that that petulant imbecile in the black hut does not have the power to do this. The fact that he’s a puppet implies that he can’t necessarily do whatever he wants without repercussion if it doesn’t mesh well with the grand plan. The grand plan is what bothers me most.

Watching Lew talking about this is what got me thinking along these lines in the first place. Ol’ “loop-de-loop” signature will put that loop-de-loop on anything Obastard and Jarrett tell him to. He’s not very bright.

BUT he will find the most vindictive things possible not to pay. Everything remotely ‘conservative’ will be on the list. And the list will include everything that will be painful to the working class. The welfare checks will still go out.
Your scenario is definitely on my list of probabilities. If he were to stick with exactly what he’s been doing for the past week, Senior Citizens, disabled folks and Medicare Docs are on the chopping block. Meanwhile, yes, EBT cards will be charged as normal. Doesn’t want to piss off his homies.

He just cannot stand the thought that he might get beaten on this.
He is doing his best to make this as bad as possible, but I believe it is hurting him instead of doing what he thought it would do.

That could backfire big time. He is making ever effort to get America’s guns and ammunition confiscated, but it hasn’t happened yet.

How about this: Could/Should the Republicans quickly pass a new Debt Limit bill (with no riders attached) to get this out of play? Could that be Obastard’s game?

I think he might be aiming to cut off the EBT bennies too. Senior citizens won’t immediately begin to riot, loot and burn down their cities, but the EBT crowd surely will. He might cut off ALL “entitlement” benefits, knowing that this will cause a social convulsion of such enormity, that he will be able to announce direct rule by the National Emergencies Act.
reid is saying the democRATs have to have it all (their way) or there will be nothing. reid says no piecemeal deal. Don’t know who is going to blink first. History says it will be republicans but I pray history is wrong this time.
