Rubio retreats: Comprehensive immigration bill wrong way to go...

1:01 YouTube video

This tells me Marco Rubio is seizing the moment and distinguishing himself (as well he should) from the RINOs who got their hooks into him and is running to the Right with other members of the party (thank you Cruz and Co).

No....Rubio still supports Illegal Alien Amnesty. He has always supported Amnesty while in the Florida state House.

His Rubio-Obama Illegal Alien Amnesty bill is his signature bill. He supports Amnesty...he must live with his decisions

We need to stop making excuses for RINOs who are not conservatives

“Rubio has burned his bridges to the RINOs. He stood by Cruz for the 21 hours. Along with Cruz, he does does what the conservatives need to do. That would be bringing in most of the Cuban population and other conservative hispanics to put together a better, RINO-free party.
Rubio thought he could work with Schummer and McCain and get a fair compromise....he got played.

If we’re going to do this, we need to accept Rubio as a conservative who made a big miscalculation. We should put the wrath where it belongs...to people like Flake and Ayotte who totally went over to the dark side. “

Don’t be so naive. Rubio follows the political winds. He is the definition on an empty suit.

By the way, don’t worry about him being out of favor with his RINO buddies...his endorsement of McConnell last week should patch things up nicely for him.

Did you not see his ringing endorsement of McConnell last week? Now you somehow think he is reformed?

Wow....some people see only what they want to see.

You are INCORRECT! Marco Rubio is a TRAITOR AND NEEDS TO LOSE HIS TEA PARTY CAREER, because he lied and was going to sell the American worker down the river.

Now that he has seen the light? That’s Not our problem.

WE ALREADY KNOW what is in his heart!!

I'm not at the trusting level yet, with Rubio....

I trusted George Bush with all my heart....

..and even now I am still finding out about areas where he betrayed that trust.....not even including the 2007 illegal amnesty and his part in downfall of our economy that essentially handed the presidency to Obama.

There is much more we will yet to find out about this duplicitous man---with the sweet 'aw shucks' face that sneeringly said...

... 'illegals are doing the jobs Americans won't do'.... & thanks to him, we have millions of Americans without a job, because we're STILL trying to give those jobs to illegals.....

..I am only now cautiously optimistic there are still principled statesmen (& women).....patriots... who care more for our nation than themselves.

even though he wanted to secure borders as part of the deal

Even McCain has used that old canard.

Any time you hear 'secure the border', run. It is a canard. It is meaningless. They have no intention of securing the border -- or they could do that under existing laws. It is a sound-good-ism.

Now, if one says 'secure the border first, and then we will talk about other provisions', he might be sincere.

FWIW, I despise McConnell more than you can imagine. But Bright makes me a little nervous. He says all of the correct things, for sure. But he has no voting record. The RINOs are going to keep trying to slip saboteurs and traitors by us.

Look at Flake and Ayotte. They turned so quickly they had to know they were lying to get elected. They still haven't stopped being minimcains.

I just don't see Rubio as that level of sleaze.

Wow....some people see only what they want to see.

Many of them were around during the 2012 Republican primaries and that bunch of the best the GOP could offer [/s]. About every 3 weeks, the new leader fell from grace as another bandwagon crashed.

The Republicans could have fielded a better line up if they had randomly drawn names out the phone book. But, the candidates' bots were vicious and unrelenting in bomblasting anyone who disagreed with them and their candidate. [Look for a repeat of that in 2016.]

Don’t forget that Marco voted YEA! to confirm John Fonda-Kerry as Sec of State. ‘splane that Marco!

The only good in all of this is that Marco has run his true colors up the flag pole so all can see it for what it is.

ATTN: Tennesseans RINO lamar has a strong conservative state legislator who has a voting record you can trace running against him in 2014, http://www.carrfortn.com/ Joe Carr. He could use all the help he can get, as lamar is entrenched and has a huge war chest and is a multi-million $$ man who made his riches off insider trading while as governor of TN and in the Senate.

Sorry, but I do. He does whatever he thinks is politically convenient.

I don’t like Flake or Ayotte either....but Rubio is a total attention whore. He went to the McCain school of “Look at me while screw over conservatives!”...all the while trying to curry favor.

He is completely duplicitous and thinks he is smarter than his voters.

Too late Marco—We’ve seen you for what you are.

I’ll be voting for whomever runs against you in the future, even if it’s a DIM in the general election.

I agree. I think Rubio got played. He got surrounded by the likes of McCain and wanted to “work” it out and then realized too late that it was a bad idea. Also with Coulter’s book coming out criticizing him for taking such a stance on imigration, it problably hit home. He also is trying to pander to the latinos in Florida. I use to think he would be presidential material, but after seeing how easily he got played, I think he would be better suited for a cabinet postion.

Marco Rubio is the poster boy for Trent Lott’s professed GOPe strategy regarding conservatives elected to Washington” “Once they get there we have to co-opt them” before they do any damage.

Well, Marco, YOU have been co-opted. No matter what you do. No matter what you say. You cannot un-ring the bell of your integrity being destroyed over immigration reform and endorsing McConnell.

You will NEVER be trusted by the conservative base again. Enjoy fundraising from your establishment masters. They’ll demand more public boot licking from you in exchange for the money you need from them to replace the dried well of conservative donations.

Don’t fall for it! Rubio was always a pro-amnesty Bush property in FL anyway. Even if he wraps himself in the tea party mantel once again, he’ll always be a pro-amnesty guy—which means he doesn’t actually care about conservatism in the US in the least.
