Dems: Cruz 'leading the Republican Party'

Democrats charged in a Friday memo that Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) is leading the Republican Party, and that his "brand of conservatism" will hurt Republicans running for office in Iowa in 2014.

The memo, issued by the Democratic National Committee and the campaign committees for both chambers and the party's governors, came as Cruz is slated to headline a Friday night fundraising dinner in Des Moines, Iowa.

"Make no mistake: Ted Cruz is leading the Republican Party. Candidates want to be him. Incumbents are afraid of him. The Republican Party base is energized by him," the memo reads.

It's the latest effort from Democrats to make Cruz the face of the GOP, believing backlash against him and the recent government shutdown will be detrimental to Republicans in 2014. In the memo, Democrats indicate that they plan to make Cruz and the shutdown an issue for Republicans up and down the ballot in Iowa in 2014.

Republicans are looking at the Iowa Senate race as a possible pickup opportunity. Sen. Tom Harkin (D-Iowa) is retiring next year, and the Republican who emerges from a crowded primary will face off against Rep. Bruce Braley (D).

The Democratic memo argues that support for the government shutdown by some of the Republican Senate candidates will hurt their chances in 2014, and that Iowa GOP Reps. Tom Latham and Steve King could suffer from the shutdown as well.

Democrats also warn that the shutdown could hurt Gov. Terry Branstad's (R) chances at reelection, and that support of "Cruz-like policies" from Iowa state legislators will help Democrats take back the Iowa state House next year.

The Left always tells you who they fear most.

Alinsky rule #13: identify, isolate, freeze and escalate.

"Democrats charged in a Friday memo that Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) is leading the Republican Party"

If the Demonrats were telling the truth, we wouldn't have RINOs in key positions in the GOP. But the Demonrats lie, as they are hell-spawned to do, and only state what they fear will, we hope, happen in the future.

Why would anyone pay any attention whatsoever to such brainless drivel from them? It’s totally meaningless.

Democrats in general, and Democrat politicians in particular put Party above all else: Party trumps state, country, and family.

Thank goodness the dems are watching out for their opposition. The depth of their concern is heartwarming.

Cruz is both smart and street-smart. To use that Putin-Obama analogy, Cruz plays chess; his opponents have been playing checkers. My point? I’d assume if the opposition pulls that, Cruz has a “Plan B” of a proven conservative who has been with him every step of the way.

The Ruling Class is scared to death of Cruz, he threatens their power. They will do everything possible to destroy him like they did to Sarah Palin.

Deception from the Demonrats is nothing new. They twist the truth into a lie whenever they are threatened by reality. We know that Cruz’ firebrand conservatism can catalyze a majority of voters in his support. D’s understand they are on the ropes with no rope-a-dope strategy. FED UP with liliberals, the nation will turn to a man of character, fewho is fearless and intelligent to get us out of the mess O O and his minions have put us in.

Cruz is not leading the GOP he’s leading the American people and that scares the begebbers out of the RATs and the GOP and is part of the reason both want to make illegals legal so they that they can maintain control.

If they do, they are going to have to come out with the truth about Obama. Why do you think McCain and Romney were chosen to run on the Republican ticket?

So Senator Cruz is the “leader” of the Republican Party...I sure hope so. Who is the “leader” of the DIMocRAT party: Stalin’s Ghost, Soros, Karl Marx’s ghost, Pol Pot’s ghost or any other of a long list of leftist losers?
