I often try to find news stories that are not being reported on, trying to give my readers something to read that is different from other blogs. I don't necessarily want to write about the same subject matter I see on the rest of the Internet. That being said, that we now know President Obama has been lying all along about Obamacare is too important to not write about. Many of us have tried to point this out before, but the mainstream media refused to acknowledge it, much less report on it. The Obama administration has continued the farce, sticking to the narrative that Americans who purchased health care insurance on their own could keep their plan, if they so desired. President Obama has now been exposed, in full public view, for the liar he really is.

NBC News - President Obama repeatedly assured Americans that after the Affordable Care Act became law, people who liked their health insurance would be able to keep it. But millions of Americans are getting or are about to get cancellation letters for their health insurance under Obamacare, say experts, and the Obama administration has known that for at least three years.Again, President Obama has continued the narrative that individuals could keep their insurance plans, if they chose to do so. All the while, his administration was writing regulations into Obamacare that would make that to be a nearly impossible feat. It's good to see NBC News reporting on this story, even if they seem to be having regrets. The original story has been taken offline, edited and replaced. In spite of that, I'll take what satisfaction I can get from knowing someone in the mainstream media is finally exposing the truth about Obamacare. The same truth, I might add, that so many of us have declared since before the legislation was shoved down our throats.Four sources deeply involved in the Affordable Care Act tell NBC NEWS that 50 to 75 percent of the 14 million consumers who buy their insurance individually can expect to receive a “cancellation” letter or the equivalent over the next year because their existing policies don’t meet the standards mandated by the new health care law. One expert predicts that number could reach as high as 80 percent. And all say that many of those forced to buy pricier new policies will experience “sticker shock.”
None of this should come as a shock to the Obama administration. The law states that policies in effect as of March 23, 2010 will be “grandfathered,” meaning consumers can keep those policies even though they don’t meet requirements of the new health care law. But the Department of Health and Human Services then wrote regulations that narrowed that provision, by saying that if any part of a policy was significantly changed since that date — the deductible, co-pay, or benefits, for example — the policy would not be grandfathered.

It clearly shows the IRS bulletin related to Obamacare and acknowledges that President Obama and the rest of his administration knew that the vast majority of Americans who wanted to keep their insurance plans would not be able to do so. Let me point out, once more, that the regulations that were written after the legislation was passed are responsible for this "change". These regulations are an important item to consider.
Passing the law as they did left it so open-ended, it was a simple thing to write thousands of pages of regulations that changed the overall effect of the legislation had on millions of Americans. This resulted in regulations that are causing insurance companies to cancel the plans in question because they had to be changed to meet the new federal guidelines. The final translation means those millions of Americans are going to lose the health insurance plans they had previously, only to be replaced by health insurance plans that will be costing them much, much more.
I'll go ahead and prep you for the excuse I believe President Obama will be using in the coming days, as he tries to shed the blame for this onto someone else. Don't you know, this is not his fault. Even though Obamacare is his plan and his baby, it is the insurance companies canceling the plans, not his administration. I can see it coming a mile down the road. I almost wish I were able to watch the press briefings at the White House in the coming days. I suspect it will make for good theater as Jay Carney tries to find enough wiggle room to get the President out of this box he has lied himself into. What do you want to bet he refers all questions related to the issue to HHS?
Once again, President Obama has been caught lying to the American people about Obamacare. Absolutely no surprise to anyone who has paid attention for the past four years.

The FACT that our nation, including the media, has caught Obama and his admin in dozens, if not hundreds, of lies - and continue to give them a pass (when any Republican caught in the same would have been the center of rabid media attacks non-stop and impeached by now) is final proof that this nation is over.
And I’m not even mentioning the hundreds of lost freedoms that have occurred.....
Interesting though, he said on TV you can keep your plan if like. This caused people to lobby their politicians to support Obamacare, causing Obamacare to pass, all based on a lie.
I wonder if we can sue? Somebodies gotta have standing after that whopper.

This pan is not really about healthcare. Its about enrollinfpg the population into a program that gives them complete access to every “citizen’s” personal and financial information to be “tagged” with a profile for use by the feds while at the same time producing more revenue (tax) for the federal government because they’re spending is completely out of control. I think they hope to be in the black on the program by denying benefits and healthcare to the “enrollees”. They may not call them death panels but they will exist nonetheless. This program and others like it in other nations were probably to be merged into one program worldwide and administered by one entity once the one world government formed. They do not like us obstructionists....

I'm not discouraging your remark but again, WhoTF didn't know this??? The problem is no republican or conservative has enough balls to really fight! ( albeit Cruz is a start) We all sat back and didn't do a thing. I know conservatives don't protest in the streets, but don't you think it's about damn time we do?!

Its just a comment; a vent but the answer is HALF of the population are idiots who can’t seem to figure it out so if some of the Democratic Underground spies (which do appear to show up around here from time to time) visit here, see the comment,and report it on their website maybe it will begin to soak in that they’ve been suckered. Maybe. Just maybe but I’m not going to count on it.

Of course he’s going to blame the insurance companies. That was the plan all along. What he and his cronies really want is single payer. The Government becomes our only source of health insurance. Then they have complete control of our lives.
They tell you what kind of policy you have to have, even if you buy it yourself? This is beyond control, this is INSANITY IN HIGH PLACES!
