Left-handed people have a strikingly higher chance of suffering from schizophrenia, research suggests. A study revealed left-handers accounted for 40 per cent of those with the mental illness. However, only around 10 per cent of the general population is left-handed. It is thought that the changes in the brain that make people left-handed may also contribute to schizophrenia. Famous left-handers include Prince William, Barack Obama, David Cameron, Sir Paul McCartney, Nicole Kidman and Angelina Jolie.

What about George HW Bush, Bill Clinton and H. Ross Perot?
Yeah, but there are a lot more right handers than left handers so it more than evens out.
I’ll have to check the studies, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they didn’t use the same statistical means as was used when pedophilia and homosexuality were changed from a disorder to a sexual orientation. Don’t be surprised when patriotism, honor, courage and commitment are labeled disorders.
I really want to see the “scientific” data for pre and post change in the manual.
Not left handed but leftists in general...
The voices in my head are telling me this story is nonsense. But as a lefty I might be biased.
Lefties aren’t crazy. We just see the world in different colors. It’s more interesting.
In fact, the only thing the study proved was that people tend to die at higher rates as they age. Older people that were dying were raised at a time when left-handedness was discouraged and children were forced to convert to right-handedness. Thus, the only left handers who died were younger.
It’s not only fountain pens that are out to get you. Even coffee mugs, free ball point pens and letter openers are designed for right handers only.
Or it could be this is yet another useless study sucking at the public teat, played up by a MSM too gutless to do real reporting, for a public too brain dead to notice they're being fed a steady diet of mental fluff.
I write left handed. I shoot left handed. I throw and bat right handed.
I don’t know where I fit in the world, but I know my parents stopped buying me sports equipment without me present when I was eight. They almost never guessed correctly which “handed” piece I would use.
So I guess I drove THEM crazy.
The right side of the brain is less active in right handers and more active in left handers. The world is blessed to have that different way of thinking — normally. Obama is the only reason I know of to think otherwise.
I am left handed and capable of above average introspection. We south paws tend to be less adept at processing individual items of information. But I suspect that we are excellent at problem solving skills. As computer technology advances, the value of being left handed will increase.
I would give my right arm to be ambidextrous.
LOL
I would give my right arm to be ambidextrous.

Good one.
Read it pre-coffee and hurt my brain.
:-)
“However, only around 10 per cent of the general population is left-handed.”
B.S. Do I just live in some part of the world that is an aberration? Yes there are more right handers than lefties but 90%. No way.
Five co-workers went to lunch one day. The hostess seated us at a booth. A commotion ensued as seemingly everyone wanted the end seat. Eventually, we all realized that four of the five of us were left-handed. Much laughter later, the sole right-handed person was seated in the add-on chair at the end of the table.
What about us ambidextrous folks?
More likely to be cannibals and bite Mooses sisters?
