What is it about progressives that they just cannot bring themselves to accept responsibility – materially not figuratively? The Obama junta is filled with the greatest number of supposedly smart people acting in the stupidest ways. Across the spectrum of the Obama Administration sheer lunacy grips Obama, his cabinet, and Congressional Democrats as they rampage through the corridors of government and the halls of Congress with blinders. Everyday, Americans awake from the “Wizard of Oz” no transparency government, afraid to learn what new diabolical outrage has been implemented in the name of benefiting the American people.
Recent Congressional testimony from Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius was notable as a case study in duplicity, lunacy and sham attribution. She testified at a House hearing that she is accountable for the Obamacare website roll out failure, but since when has any Obama Department Official been held accountable, meaning fired, who actively shills and lies for their boss. Like Hillary Clinton in the Benghazi debacle, her words ring empty, useless to the ear.
Sebelius sophistry “Clown Act” played poorly before the House hearings and to the millions of Americans whose own health insurance policies are being terminated. The only choices left are upgrades with exorbitant healthcare costs; join the Obamacare exchanges with ridiculous deductibles, or no healthcare insurance. Obama repeatedly stated, “If you like your healthcare insurance, you can keep you it” but Obama received a “Four Star Pinocchio” for his huge fabrication. Obamacare sets forth 10 mandatory minimal standards insurance companies are required to offer creating substantial cost increases.
NBC News reported that a large number of Americans, up to maybe 75%, are expected to be terminated because their policies are interpreted by the government to be substandard. Americans have experienced shock and anger at the new prices of healthcare. Wasn’t it Obama who stated that he would reduce the individual cost by $2500? Unable to get through the blockaded Obamacare website, Americans learned their new deductibles are outrageously high.
Both Sebelius and Obama attempted to deflect criticism by referring to the ability of Americans to be grandfathered on their current healthcare policies. Unfortunately, the grandfather statement is just another Obama ruse. The Obama administration conspired to restrict the grandfathered interpretation to exact any change to the user’s core healthcare policy, even a $5 increase, would prevent the policy from being grandfathered.
The new mandates effectively prohibit the grandfather clause except for those Obama cronies, such as unions who are waived. Americans are attempting to visualize the scope of the problem. Contained within the Affordable Care Act, Section 1251 states, “The Departments’ mid-range estimate is that 66 percent of small employer plans and 45 percent of large employer plans will relinquish their grandfather status by the end of 2013,”
In a clandestine operation President Obama and his administration knew 93 million Americans would forfeit their current healthcare insurance. Yet, indifferent to the realities of Obamacare and to the concerns of the American public, Obama continues to repeat his familiar lie. Obama, an unscrupulous community organizer, shows no remorse for the disdain and repugnancy he holds for the Americans public.
A critical note in the House hearing was when Mike Rodgers (R-MI) pursued a line of questioning related to the Obamacare website security posture. Sebelius appeared to distance herself from full knowledge of the potential security breaches before the website was launched. The revelation that the Obamacare website, opened to compromise by potential hackers, is a clear and present danger to new enrollees who fear their personal information will be hacked by identity thieves. As reported by Reuters, “From a security perspective, the aspects of the system that were not tested due to the ongoing development exposed a level of uncertainty that can be deemed as a high risk,” said the memo from Department of Health and Human Services officials James Kerry and Henry Chao. Sebelius and Obama demonstrate caviler attitudes and contempt for the American people in their hurry to exploit the Obamacare transition into a single payer system. Congressman Rogers stated, “You accepted a risk on behalf of every user of this computer that put their personal financial information at risk, because you did not have even the most basic end-to-end test on the security of this system,” Yes, she did!
President Obama, a man where the “buck never stops,” spoke to an adoring liberal audience in Boston as he tried to rewrite history. Obama had guaranteed the nation that if you own healthcare insurance, you would be able to keep it, period! Now exposed as a liar, Obama stated “those who are getting dropped will be able to find new options through the online insurance exchanges, or marketplaces, established under the 2010 law. “Just shop around in the new marketplace,” he said. “You’re going to get a better deal.” His words of course had to be taken into context.
Democrat operatives posing as real journalists follow goose stepping behind Obama’s fabrications regurgitating his revisionist “Clown Act” talking points. The whole Obamacare episode is a national fraud perpetrated by progressive zealots who kept secret that millions of Americans were about to lose their healthcare coverage. The scam is today what it has always been and that is to ensure that Obamacare is transformed eventually into a governmental single payer healthcare system. If truth be known, the Affordable Care Act would never have passed.
The paternal “Nanny State” of Obama is demonstratively displayed by the calamitous Obamacare program that instituted 10 new healthcare standards to exert and exercise governmental powers on the healthcare industry. Their hidden agenda was to force the healthcare industry into disrepair and insolvency. The illusion of Obama’s brilliance and mythical greatness dissipates as the light of truth is shined upon him. Even his most ardent admirers are stunned by Obama’s in your face lies but unfortunately, the leftist radicals and Hollywood hypocrites will not awake from their occult slumber until a frustrated mainstream media gives them the green light to do so, which may be never.
The government’s restrictive interpretation of the core minimum standards forced upon the healthcare insurance industry was explosive. The “One for all and all for one” equal treatment does not exist in the Obama realm of governance. By fiat, he allows special interest groups who curried favor with his administration or party to be waivered, grandfathered, or financially supplemented while the remainder of the public picks up their tab. Progressives, enthroned in royal power, act unencumbered to the plight of their constituents.
The nation was bewildered by Mayor Bloomberg’s “Nanny State” approach to government when he restricted the large size of soft drinks his constituents were able to purchase. In retrospect, Bloomberg is a child prodigy of Obama who’s “Nanny State” reigns supreme. The “Nanny State” strangles and oppresses the free souls of independent minded Americans blessed with the innate legacy of freedom won by our forefathers.
Progressivism as clearly demonstrated by Obama is big government paternalism; believing governmental elites know best and the American public are either to dumb or to naive to understand what is good for them. Exposed for all to see, the inalienable rights of men are sacrificed upon the Obamacare socialist alter.
America’s exceptionalism and independence is replaced by sovereign tyranny. Obama and his socialist elk are fearful an awakened public may discover their liberty and freedom of choice is usurped arbitrarily by a power hungry Obama government. The Obama administration seeks neither to be an instrument for the people or by the people but a government that reigns over the American people. Send out the clowns.
And roughly half of them do not give a rat's ass because they still think they are going to get free stuff at the expense of the other half.
A nation cannot long endure half slave and half free.
Democrats and "progressive" Republicans continue to dominate the national conversation, however, making it to focus on "health care," or about "health insurance.
The so-called "Affordable Care Act" (Obamacare) never was about "health care." That national pre-occupation was the "Trojan Horse" of "progressives," which they used to hide the imposition of government control over the economic affairs of a formerly free society.
To continue to engage in debate in the semantic terms of the Left masks the threat to liberty America faces.
The only real antidote to lies is truth.
Lies about the legitimate role of government must be countered with the "self-evident" truth embodied in the Declaration of Independence and the structure of government provided by the Founders' Constitution.
The role of government, as the coercive power allowed to "the People's" representatives, by the Constitution by which they are allowed to "serve," is small and defined. Its limitations are broad and strictly limited.
That's why the current President complains that it is a "restraint," or "a document of negative liberties." He understands well that, as Jefferson said, it is, and remains, a "chain" on the powers of the Executive, the Congress and Senate, and even on the Judiciary.
He has been emboldened, however, by the false adulation of a portion of the society, to believe that he can do by Executive Order things that he is disallowed by the terms of "the People's" Constitution.
Now is the time to stop quibbling about web sites and incompetency. This is about a massive power grab, foisted upon Americans under a false premise, under the guise of "helping" them.
