Looks like the Midwestern union members who would have been Reagan Democrats, back in the day, had the right instincts - they either stayed home or voted for Obama, figuring that Obama was the lesser of two evils on the issues that affected them.
It is not clear that a party’s loser in the prior Presidential race is “the” leader or even “a” leader of the party.
After winning the nomination, Romney also went back to his pro-abortion position, stating that he disagreed with the party’s pro-life platform, and that he supported “health” of the mother.
Indeed. Watch for the same thing to happen among the weak-kneed in 2016.
Too bad he can’t just shut up and go away.. but even ‘nice guys’ egos need stroking by the lapdog media.
We all knew what Romney was, he was a notch above a devout socialist and muslim brotherhood/terrorist supporter.

I saw him on CBS this AM. He and his lovely wife were promoting a nice coffee table book about how nice a family they have, complete with pictures. Nora the Hot asked him an immigration question in the “dirty rotten republican” tone. Romney said we have to get them citizenship but they should have to go to the back of the line with no special cut outs for being one of our brown brothers.
He didn’t use the brown brother phrase though.
He did look like a president should look.
Who cares what the loser Romney thinks.
I think he should STFU.
And this is relevant, why? Romney has about as much chance of being the GOP nominee in 2016 as I do of buying the winning ticket for tonight’s Mega Millions jackpot.
If an illegal has been in this country for a year or more and cannot speak and understand English they should not have any path to citizenship.
Romney feels good about all his houses and money and somehow believes all ordinary working people have his vision of the USA be it such a watered down style of living. In a way I am glad he is not POTUSA.
Currently, unless those here illegally get caught, get officially deported, and then try to come back, they can always “get in line” to receive citizenship, just like anybody else.
I have no idea, nor do I care, what Romney specifically has in mind. But what I would have in mind is, in exchange for someone turning themselves in, I’d be happy to deport them without putting it on the record, which would leave them free to apply normally. Kind of like tax amnesty, where we let tax cheats report their taxes voluntarily and don’t levy fines against them.
I doubt we can catch 11 million illegals, so I don’t think we are giving up much to provide an incentive for the illegals to catch themselves.
I don’t think that people who are caught repeatedly should have those records expunged though. I am just talking about people who turn themselves in under some program.
I see Mitt is still grossly misinformed. Mitty! Buddy! They don’t WANT citizenship. It’s about free money and other government freebies and handouts you idiot. Governments in Mexico and Central and South America are smart and don’t give out free stuff to anyone who wants it.
They’re not stupid, they’re evil. This is being done deliberately.
I’m glad he lost. The GOP, and by association, true conservatives, could be owning the unfolding debacle as we speak.
A man who stands for nothing will fall for anything, and the only thing worse is a man that won’t admit he’s wrong. Mass will never recover from Masscare. It is a disaster.

True, most illegals don’t want citizenship. But by making it all about citizenship, our rulers are trying to make Americans give up on the idea of deportation. The issue, they keep telling us, is whether or not to grant illegals citizenship. Deportation is not even an option; it’s not even on the table. They hope we’ll just give up on it.
This way, when they let illegals stay, and just don’t give them citizenship, we will be appeased and won’t complain, because, well, at least they’re not getting citizenship! George W. Bush tried that trick, too. He said his plan wasn’t amnesty because it didn’t give them citizenship. But it allowed illegals to stay, which is all they really wanted, anyway, and Bush thought we would be too stupid to notice.
Arguing about “citizenship” is like trying to decide whether the thief who broke into your house last night should get to live in your guest house or not.
Do not let them get away with this.
I was amazed when he lied his way through last years primary over this, fooling so many in GOP. It was obvious that he was lying I thought.
He claimed he was against the Dream Acts (in state tuition) Texas particularly, and ‘self deportation’, but he is for giving them the vote (citizenship).
