It was a national battle - conservatives vs liberals.
You do know that it was Harry Reid who shut down the government, right?
Christie and Walker are both pro-amnesty.
Cruz or Palin for me, thank you.
Walker is pro-amnesty, like the whole WI GOP team.
Or, Priebus and Ryan, at least.
I’m with you.
Exactly. That is why we don’t need a mushy moderate as a leader. We already have that in republican congress leadership positions.
Yes and Walker is barely to the right of center. He even thinks republicans shut the government down. We all know 0bama did that with his no compromise stand. We even picked what he wanted to shut down. Walker is good for Wisconsin but too weak for America.
Show me any conservative Republican that has beaten the Obama controlled democratic machine, national unions, the teachers, the liberal courts and assorted other Liberal groups and has turned a democratic state to Republican with full control of governor’s office and legislature.
He has done more to promote conservatism and accomplished signifcant results.
He is not a mushy moderate. And he is not bought and paid for.
I didn’t say he was a sell out. He is good for Wisconsin and most any other blue state. He would be better than McCain or Romney. I would support and vote for him. But he is not on my short list. I’m not bashing him I just see him through different eyes than you do.
Have you picked your candidate?
Who?
Will you stand behind them regardless?
If they choose not to run will you sit it out?
If they endorse someone else, will you work to weaken their election chances?
It’s too early to start carving up Gov. Walker.
And...
Do you have an opinion on the information in Post #1?
I have to go get ready for work. Have a great day.
Good to know.
First...Scott Walker is NOT Conservative....he is now pushing Illegal Alien Amnesty. That right there is a no go
You cannot be for small government and Illegal Alien Amnesty
Walker also did not fire administrative and executive level state government employees...who are bigger burdens on taxpayers’ with high salaried and extended benefits
We need to stop cheer leading phony Cons and get behind one solid candidate...Ted Cruz preferred. Not another PhonyCon Liberal governor
Concurring bump.
IMO it has almost come to the shooting stage in Wisconsin.
When Democrats start a campaign such as this it makes any American want to stop it by violent means. This is fascism at it’s worst.
You’re right...we have too many people on our side who demand total agreement on every issue. We’re never going to get that. I supported the shutdown, but I really like Walker. During his years here in Wisconsin as gov. he’s contantly stood up to various union and leftist punks. And beat them. He’s a true conservative. That doesn’t mean he’s right on every issue...but no conservative is right on every issue. Nevertheless, Walker would be an excellent president.
Sorry, you did bash him calling him a mushy moderate.
You can support whoever, buy why do conservatives bash quality people.
I will put his conservative credentials against any candidate who can win and change our government to a more conservative Republic.
The violent leftist radicals in Wisconsin would like nothing better.
A segment ran earlier on Fox and Friends about “It’s a Wonderful Life.”
It took my thoughts to this thread and the question, What if Scott Walker had never been born? came to mind, or Sarah Palin, or Ted Cruz....
The battle in Wisconsin was Sarah Palin vs Susan Sarandon, Michael Moore liberals vs Tea Party conservatives, union activists against free market capitalism.
The electorate is on a razor’s edge. The administration is doing everything it can to pour gasoline on racial division and encouraging class warfare.
Chaos is their friend. Division is their ally.
No. It’s too early. Mid terms are my focus. I never sit it out. I have voted Republican for President since I was old enough to vote. So Nixon’s second term through Romney. I held my nose for everyone but Reagan. I will not pick my choice until close to primary time. By then Walker might be the one. But no matter who runs in the general election as the R, I’ll be at the polling place an hour before it opens. I’ll even donate to Walker for his run for reelection in 14. I did not donate to Christie.
OK so he's just announced his candidacy. It's going to be a crowded field.
