The Grinch that defended the Grinch that stole Thanksgiving

Yeah, that would be me. I'm the guy in the public defender's office that got the call at 11:30 last night, to come down and represent the Grinch, who had just been arrested on grounds of screwing up Thanksgiving. I told the Grinch to plead not guilty at the speedily arranged arraignment. Since then, I've been feverishly preparing a court brief to argue to the Judge for dismissal.

Do I like taking these kinds of cases? Do dogs like getting scratched in the eye by the family cat? No, it has nothing to do with like. It has to do with truth, justice and the American way. Alright, would you believe it's just that on any given day, I don't believe in, or agree with the fairy tale world of the idealists on the Left or the Right.

In this case, there is a lot of hysterical caterwauling from both sides about the violation of the sanctity of the Thanksgiving holiday by retailers. It ain't necessarily so and I think I document my case quite thoroughly.

When they are both buzzed out on some fine Columbian, I'm the lousy creep that busts down the door, announcing "Logic Police', you're all under arrest." Blasted Fools come from both ends of the spectrum and I'm no respecter of foolish persons.

Intentional distortion of reality. What's the term for that? 15 years?

Sentenced. Court is dismissed.

Buzzed on Columbian? Is this writer still living in the early 70s?
Columbian's crap compared to the high-grades coming out of California these days.

touche, my friend. Sincerely - enjoy today, reflect on God’s blessings and make Thanksgiving a year round thing, which we all should do, IMO.
