I just got a new HP Pavilion with 8 on it and I’m liking it.

It takes a bit of getting used to but seems very stable.

I run 8.1 with every application turned off and Classic Shell so it looks like Windows XP. AFAIC the applications section was a waste of space.

Yes, it’s called VirtualBox from Oracle. A free virtual machine, and you can get a blob from Microsoft so that you don’t have to install XP, just click on it.
