About a year ago I left the Republican Party and became a Libertarian. The final straw was the fiscal cliff fiasco and Boehner’s mishandling of it. I have many differences with the Libertarians but fewer than I do with what passes for today’s Republican Party.

I dislike all the parties. The founders were right in their views toward faction. That said, I’m sympathetic to what many of the libertarians trying to accomplish. They tend to walk the talk and are very effective in relatively small numbers. To wit, take a look at what they’re doing in New Hampshire with the Free State Project.
