America resembling anti-democratic regime - Russia's moment to lead
english.pravda.ru ^ | January 9, 2014 | John Griffing

In recent decades, Russia has undergone vast political and social reforms underscored by a return to religious roots, the end of Soviet Communism, and new existential threats (among them domestic Islamic radicalism). All of these changes have necessarily resulted in political transformation.

As Russia has changed, its former adversary - the United States of America - has also changed, with breakneck speed. America is in rapid moral and institutional decline - fueled by lawless government leaders and a seismic move away from God (at least the Judeo-Christian God that underpins Russian and Western societies), as well as the parallel rise of an entertainment escapism that displaces public awareness and voter engagement while blinding citizens to the loss of freedom and resultant blurring of moral boundaries.

In short, America is beginning to resemble the regimes it topples and wars against. America no longer has the moral credibility to lecture other nations on the incontrovertible virtues of democracy and republican government. Consider recent developments that are quickly becoming the new "normal" in Russia's once great adversary:

President Obama has dispensed with Congress, making laws out of thin air - surpassing the greatest violations of presidential power in recent years, even predecessors Bush and Clinton (both of whom used signing statements and executive orders to circumvent Congress). Obama doesn't even bother to create the illusion of legitimacy. Obama changes existing laws that have been on the books for years, e.g. the Welfare Reform Act, without Congress. He writes laws, e.g. the Dream Act, without Congress. He passes treaties that have never been ratified, e.g. Law of the Sea Treaty, without Congress. And he even eliminates entire sections of his own healthcare reform law - all without seeking Congress to make amendments or pass revisions. These actions make Obama a virtual king, potentate, dictator,

So much truth. It makes me cry for what has happened to my country.

Exactly...It is going to take an act of God to now save America, but he is not talking. The fact that Obumbo won a second term was all I needed to know.

We’re not done yet, Pravda. Wipe the drool off your chin and get a bib.

It’s just becoming more obvious how criminal the District of Criminals has been for a long time.

From the article:

“Hinting at the U.S., Putin said that today, “many nations are revising their moral values and ethical norms, eroding ethnic traditions and differences between peoples and cultures.”

“Society is now required not only to recognize everyone’s right to the freedom of consciousness, political views and privacy, but also to accept without question the equality of good and evil, strange as it seems, concepts that are opposite in meaning,” Putin said.

He said such “destruction of traditional values from above” produces problems for society and essentially is “anti-democratic.”

The greatest danger to America - and consequently to the nations which depend on American consumer spending, and liquidity - is not military attack, but implosion - an implosion caused by moral gangrene.

The western world must have a revival: morally, economically and politically if it is to survive any such implosion. But in the absence of American leadership, the world must look to another power - Moscow. Vladimir Putin has an open window to lead the west into a new era. The window will not be open much longer and will shut hard in the event the U.S. collapses. This is Putin’s moment. Will he lead? “

When I was growing up, I never would have believed this.

If we aren’t done, who will lead us out of this abyss?

What’s worse, look at the boldness of Judicial radicals in this day and age. They make Roe vs. Wade-esque decisions every single day, from allowing Obama to watch you through a webcam to overturning the will of the people in Utah at the behest of the gaystapo.

JUDGES are a THREAT to America.

I’m coming to regard my government the same way many Germans came to regard their government in the early 40’s. I have no respect for those for those self-serving, rapacious, greedy corrupt bastards who feel entitled to lord over me anymore. I no longer know who or what to be loyal to anymore.

I’ve been praying since before Obama was elected. I believe Obama is God’s judgment on America and, if so, it will get worse before it gets better.

You do understand the time of trouble at the end, yes? No human nation will lead. Except those days be shortened, what will happen?

God is talking. Loudly. But most of this formerly great nation cannot hear Him. So those people have chosen to forego God’s protection. Well, he lets them/us make that choice. Of course it ends badly. Sigh. Pray for us all.

“When I was growing up, I never would have believed this.”

Yes Russia (as the USSR) was a very dark country, along with its
Communist neighbors. My years of chasing DX (foreign countries) as a ham radio operator, starting in 1958, taught me a lot. Most all of the cards that I received were propaganda. The most amusing was a card with a picture of A.S. Popov, “the Russian inventor of radio”. Later, I had the pleasure of living in post Communist central Europe starting in 2000. It was full time in Slovakia from 2005 until I moved to the Philippines in Jan 2009. If I had to leave here, I would go back to Slovakia, my last home.
Russia has a long way to go in casting off the past damages of Communism, but it has great potential, and Putin has what it takes to be a great leader, unlike Obumbo the fraud.
I can not see America returning to its former glory, at least not in my lifetime, as I am now 69. If, and when, Obama is out, it will take years to recover from his eight years of destruction. That 40+ percent still support him is most most disturbing. Marxist education and media have been the keys to the destruction.

If I were young and could uproot my family with me and if I could afford it, I would seriously consider leaving America. What a horrible thought but it’s true. I honestly don’t recognize the country I grew up in today.
