GOP establishment figure Karl Rove said on Fox News Sunday that the Fort Lee and George Washington Bridge scandal that New Jersey GOP Gov. Chris Christie is facing will end up giving him street cred with the Tea Party movement.
There will be reasons why conservatives have disagreements with Chris Christie, Rove said during a panel discussion with Bob Woodward and Juan Williams about the scandal.
I don't think the Tea Party is going to seize upon Fort Lee and the George Washington Bridge as their defining difference with Christie. In fact, I think he's handling to this [sic] being straightforward, taking action, saying "I'm responsible firing people" probably gives him some street cred with Tea Party Republicans who say, "That's what we want in a leader, somebody who steps up and takes responsibility."
Rove, a strident Tea Party opponent, has seized upon a narrative laid down by conservative Tea Party movement leaders with regard to this scandal: when compared with how President Barack Obama has not held anyone accountable for scandals that have plagued his administration, Christies firing of his deputy chief of staff and dismissal of his ex-campaign manager seems refreshing.

WTF is this writhing little maggot talking about ;/
Actually, i read about the engineered traffic jam, the first week in December and was outraged that the press failed to give it any coverage. The reason was because the emails had been illegally accessed by a Democrat operative at the bridge authority. I think that the guy claimed that Bridget left her computer on at the bridge authority and he just couldn’t resist taking a look. Anyway, reporting the story would have resulted in blow back on the Democrat snooper. So, Christie handled it himself, demanding to see the emails and firing both staffers. Apparently, Christie delayed the firings though, until the story really did make the MSM.
Rove doesn’t know much about conservatives, though. We are thankful that the left was forced to use this piece of anti-Christie news so early, taking him out before he could do any more damage.
Let’s ask Christie to leave the GOP, suggest that he switch parties and run against Hillary in the primary. He would be a much better fit with the Democrats.
Anybody who mentions Christie and POTUS candidate in the same sentence has rocks in their head.
Like Rove is in any position to award “street cred” on behalf of conservatives.
Does Rove do drugs?
You got THAT right. FOX, at the top, is not our friend. Sean is is unwatchable with his out of control, over hyped programming, but probably closer to the TP. The rest can be bought for a song. Even Greta, who has come a long way issue wise.
What is Rove smoking?
Just goes to show that Rove does not understand Tea Partiers.
Street cred?! LOL No, it makes us giddy that most likely Chris Cristie will NOT be a Republican candidate for president. One RINO down, many to go.
I remember rove sitting thier on fox gushing with success in picking the next president only to be smacked in the face openhanded when the results came in, yeah you can sure pick em rove
????????????????
FU KR, you POS.
Does anyone know how long Roves contract is with Fox?
It it would be nice to know how much longer we have to listen to his pablum.
(((
I am glad that they brought Rove on as a political consultant. Such decisions helped me realize how much in the GOPe tank they are at FOX.
At one time, I was a big time FOX viewer. I realize now what liars they are. The husband still DVRs “FOX and Friends” and O’Reilly. Now, the only time I see any of Faux News is when he saves a segment he thinks I may want to see, such as an appearance by Sarah Palin or Allen West.
I knew it.
I knew they expected and want conservatives to rally around the fool by having the MSM attack him.
It didn’t happen.
Rove is desperate to make it happen.
Too bad Karl, it’s not going to work
Does Porky Pig Face even know any Tea Party members? As usual, he needs to STFU!
In Rove’s dreams.
Rove has no understanding of what the Tea Party is.
He needs to get outside of the beltway and find out what is really going on in the rest of the country.
Tokyo is getting more delusional by every $100,000,000 spent on losing RINOs.
Why torment me on a Sunday night with the name of Karl Rove. I wish the overweight gutless wonder would join Bill O’reilly and Bernie Goldberg and stay the heck out of “flyover” country where real people have real values that are not for sale. Cruz/Palin 2016
The Blossom has a talent for absurdist humor. Who knew?
“Taking responsibility”
That means resigning.
An obsolete concept.
