There is no racism like liberal racism. Part 2

A few months I put up a post about the liberal racist attacks on Ted Cruz. Well, those rascals are up to it again, but it's OK because it's a Fox News reporter and his wife who are the targets of the attacks.

Fox News reporter Adam Housley has some harsh words for those who levy racially-charged insults at him and his wife Tamera Mowry over their interracial marriage.

Earlier today we reported on OWN’s special interview with TV star Mowry, in which she tearfully recounted being called a “white man’s whore,” among other slurs. Speaking with TVNewser, Housley excoriated those who wish to cut down their relationship.

“The fact that in this day and age, we get attacked for our interracial relationship is beyond sad…it is pathetic,” he said. “Yes I am white. Yes she is half black. Marrying a white man does not erase her color and marrying a woman who is half black does not mean I am blinded. The problem isn’t pigmentation…the problem is backwards, bigoted thought from people who should know better.”

The pair have faced plenty of backlash on social media for their marriage, largely focusing on their interracial relationship, but also for Housley’s time spent as a reporter for Fox News. The couple have been married since 2011 and welcomed a son in 2012.

Here's the interview with Oprah (via Mediaite)

Michelle Malkin adds more:

Horrific? Yes. Shocking? Not at all. What Mowry experienced is just a small taste of what the intolerance mob dishes out against people "of color" who love, think and live the "wrong" way. I've grown so used to it that I often forget how hurtful it can be. Mowry's candor was moving and admirable. It's also a valuable teachable moment about how dehumanizing it can be to work in the public eye. Have we really sunk to this?

Young actresses in the 21st century forced to defend their love lives because their marital choices are politically incorrect? We're leaning backward in the regressive Age of Hope and Change.

Why yes, Michelle, we have sunk that low. More correctly, THEY have sunk that low. This would be absolutely ubiquitous in the liberal media had the invective been spit by conservatives.

Malkin reminds us of similar incidents:

A sad commentary on liberalism. However, when you look at the number of black male athletes who marry blond, white women, you have to wonder if they are being given a “pass” re racial slur comments, while other conservatives like Justice Clarence Thomas are attacked for having a “white” wife.

I guess George Orwell could have written, “All racists are equal but some racists are less guilty than others”.

What a beautiful couple!
The “Progressives” can’t help themselves when it comes to tearing down everything beautiful.

While Ms. Mowry, to her credit, doesn't speculate on whether any particular group might be the source of these attacks, I will:

First, some facts: Ms. Mowry is a conservative (and she would add "that doesn't mean I'm boring"), and we've all seen the vitriol spewn against, and we all know how much the left hates and ridicules:

* Black conservatives (like Justice Thomas)
* Female conservatives (like Sarah Palin)
* Fox News
* The mixing of races when it involves a white conservative (like the way Romney's family was recently mocked on MSNBC).

So after marrying a white, conservative Fox News correspondent, she is now basically faced with this "quadruple whammy". Therefore, I think it's a fairly good bet, it not a guarantee, that most if not all of the hateful tweets she's getting are coming from the left.

I have over the years received a few negative comments about having a Chinese wife. All were from progressive women who made statements like.

“You wanted an Asian wife because you are a chauvinist and Asian women are more submissive”

These hags obviously have no clue about Asian women if they think they are submissive.

So I am a bigot for having non-Caucasian wife.

LOL... Asian women are submissive? Maybe in some strange fantasy world, but not this one.

Of course if Tamera would have married a white WOMAN, she would have been heralded is courageous and strong.

It turns out we have something in common, as my wife is from Fu Qing, China. Yes, many in the USA are unaware of the vast cultural differences not only between people from Japan, China, Korea, and other Asian countries, but also those which exist between people who come from the various regions in China. And it's a common misconception among those (unaware) folks to attribute submissiveness to ALL asian women, which might, to some degree, be true for many Japanese women, particulary those from earlier generations, but certainly not to all modern Japanese ladies, and definitely not to all asian ladies.

In fact, as you probably know, there are parts of China (including the city from which my wife hails) in which the culture might be better defined as a matriarchy than a patriarchy. I know my wife is a VERY strong-willed and independent woman, and in no sense of the word would I describe her has being submissive.

Well I imply it was a generalization, and Yoko Ono likely benefited from time she spent outside of Japan, along with the fact that she was, at least initially, on the professioaal rather than on the family "track".

Note, however, that as recently as 2012, Japan got rated (as per below) 105th out of 136 countries based on the "Global Gender Gap", with most of the countries rating lower being those in which women many women are required walk around in Bhurkas.

With regard to the "track" I mentioned, I've also heard (also a generalization) that early on, women in Japan choose between either a marriage or a professional track (unlike the western value of "having it all"). Most of those on the professional track work very long hours and have no time for marriage or family, and likely never get married. Those on the marriage track become devoted wives and mothers, and it is from those women, I'd guess, that the west has formed its stereotype of the "submissive" Japanese wife.

I would add that much of the criticism is probably coming from black women
